What sad news about #TerenceStamp Possibly the most handsome film star in history - he was a wonderful actor too, mesmerising in movies from Billy Budd to Priscilla. Searingly honest in interviews too.

He portrayed the most sophisticated of villains and sexiest leads on the silver screen. Thank you for the memories, Terence Stamp. Rest in Peace.

🚨BREAKING NEWS// Government green lights M&S Oxford Street demolition proposals. SAVE early comment:
🗣️What a missed opportunity! The government has chosen the easy option – business as usual - when it had a real chance to show leadership and ambition on this urgent issue.

Oscar died at about ten minutes to two in the afternoon of Tuesday 30th of November, 1900, attended by his friends Robbie Ross and Reggie Turner. He was just 46 years old. Raise a glass for him. 🥂#OTD #OscarWilde #anniversary #death

So sad to hear of the death of Phil Rickman. He trod the liminal space between crime & the supernatural with incredible skill. Hard to believe there won’t be another Merrily Watkins book. The borderlands, in every sense, will be empty without him.

So sad to learn of the death of @PhilRickman. He was a brilliant writer and it feels like all of his characters who came to life in his writing have died, as well. December was the first book of his I read and I was hooked. There are physical books I don’t have but I’ve read all.

Very sorry to hear that @philrickman has passed away. A very fine writer and a very nice man. I was lucky enough to appear on "Phil the Shelf" on Radio Wales a couple of times and was so grateful for all his support in the early days of my career. RIP Phil, and thank you.

It's the 206th anniversary of the sad death of Archdeacon Haynes. Three years ago, I marked the date with a live reading of THE STALLS OF BARCHESTER CATHEDRAL. A collaboration with the evergreen York Ghost Merchants, who fashioned this nifty little trailer...
