Epic got me. But the support from my team has meant everything. Hard not to tear up at being called your team's Captain America.
I came up as a storyteller at Blizzard. Artifacts, Class Halls, Argus. Brought my energy to Fortnite Quests. Grew into Battle Pass and more. Wild!

After almost 8 years, my time at Epic Games has come to an unexpected end.
It’s hard to put into words what an incredible journey it has been, but I’ll try in this 🧵

I lost my dream job today in these layoffs. If anyone can help with leads for QA work or even just wants to chat and catch up, please reach out. My dms are open. My whole team was impacted. Look out for them, too. What a horrible day.

I was part of the Epic layoffs today. I worked as a Art Outsource Lead overseeing Fortnite Lego minifigs. I worked on everything from K-Pop DH, to huge streamers and minifigs for the latest Superman movies. If you’re looking for a Outsource Lead, Lead Or Char artist let me know!

Well, it had to happen at some point.
I have just been laid off from #epicgames
I really enjoyed my time working there, but it’s time to find my next adventure.
If you know of something, just let me know.

I’m a part of the layoffs today at Epic, closing out four years working on Fortnite. It’s been the privilege of my early career being a part of this team. I’m proud of what we built, and grateful for every person I got to build it with. Fortnite will always be special to me.

Hey y'all... Ya so I got laid off too from Fortnite Festival. All I've ever wanted to do was make cool games for people that help them feel a little bit better or happier in their day... It's so sad that it's this hard to do just that.

Truly enjoyed my time working here. This felt unnecessary.
The best thing to do is look forward - if anyone has any leads of openings in QA please let me know.
I have tons of experience working in cross-discipline environments, supporting features from concept to shipping.

I was laid off today after 2 years Epic Games.
If you enjoyed the maps in C7S2 or C6S3, The Simpsons mini-season map, or IP collabs like KPOP Demon Hunters, Superman, South Park, Doja Cat, and more, I was the Lead Environment Art and/or Environment Concept Producer for them.

Unfortunately I was affected by the layoffs today. This is a lot to process for me so I will take it easy for the rest of the week while I think of next moves. Sigh I weep for this industry.

I’m one of the folks impacted by the Epic Games / Psyonix layoffs today.
I loved the communities I worked with and the people I got to support, that part meant the most. ❤️
Still processing... time to breathe and look ahead.
