I know everybody is upset but look at the bright side...
At first you lose big. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose clo
Went out and tried. Got about 1/8th of a mile and came back home. All week we have basically had .05” every morning in either mist or humidity and dew. No sunshine other than a few hours. We will get 1-2 inches of rain on Monday-Tuesday with an already full profile. 2026!
Tomorrow morning it’s gonna be raining and a forecast of 10 days of rain. Corns at 15 moisture. We worked today. I hope the lord can forgive me because I have bills to pay and a crop that’s shrinking by the day. Will shrink even more in next 10 days
Replying to @Garrett_Ruskamp
No Sundays here either, always nice to have a family day and come back Monday morning ready to go again
I want to thank every Dekalb grower out there. Without you guys we may have $3 corn. Holy trash. Thankfully only have 5 bags planted of it.

ADMIS estimates Chinese purchases of U.S. soybeans at 18 MMT toward the 25 MMT goal, sees U.S. Gulf FOB offers 20–40¢ below Brazil through year-end and expects the U.S. harvest to pass 80% by the end of the weekend. Managed money is short about 50k Chicago wheat contracts, the most in three months, and wheat commitments of 392 mb are the second lowest in decades.
Not many electricians will show up at 8pm in late October. Called him at 10:30 this morning with a bin issue and he still made time for us in his busy day. A great electrician is a great asset. Great guys
Anyone know how many hours an alternator lasts on these new combines? Well the answer is 560 hours. Thankfully mom and dad ran and got the part an hour away and essentially only had about hour and a half of downtime. Dad out moving the pivot now for us
In a world full of war, politics, Husker football heartbreaks, and government payments, I live a pretty lucky life. Harvesting corn on on our home quarter my grandpa bought and a beautiful wife at home with food ready for me when I’m done for the day. Very blessed.
I hope everyone waits till their corn is 15%, if it’s not already, and then combines. Please do this for me so USDA can decrease their yield 🤞🏻
The Real Phantom Yield loss doesn’t happen in the field! It’s not related to Test Weight! Or TKW!.. It happens on the Shrink Chart!.. How come everyone’s shrink chart is different and how does a shrink chart change from year to year? Why is it not industry standard?🤔 @WheatPete
USDA adding 6 bushels to our Nebraska yield last week isn’t talked about enough. They are predicting 6 bushels off the Nebraska record. We all know the USDA yield is off but specifically look at Nebraska’s 6 bushel change. It’s robbery. I promise you it’s not there.
