Just a bloke who’s kicked about enough media agencies for long enough to know what’s wrong with this industry.

Apropos of nothing, here’s a list of the types of agency people. They’re in every agency. You work with them, don’t you? Who have I missed? Tag your colleagues 👀🙂 #agency #advertising #media #agencypeople

In my haste I wasn’t clear on the most pernicious bit of this. “…and thinking that forcing small businesses to give unskilled people more money…” We are truly fucked.
Imagine looking at the current circumstances and thinking that giving unskilled people more money for no change in their productivity was the answer. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The algorithm on here is wild. Asked people for watch advice - got a million reactions. As people for pub advice… crickets
I asked ChatGPT for the best country pubs, in villages, in London. This was the list it gave. Apart from laughing at loud at the thought of Guinness Disneyland being there, I don’t really agree with many of the others either. What’s on your list of London, village, country pubs?

‘Karen’ is absolutely right.
Just watched this video of a Karen on a regular bike chase down an e-bike rider and lecture him for a full minute about how “full electric bikes aren’t allowed on the paths” and how “you people piss me off.” These obnoxious cyclists are the absolute worst—zero self-awareness, maximum entitlement, following strangers just to scold them. But the e-bike guy isn’t blameless either. A lot of these fat-tire e-bikes are ripping 25-35 mph on shared paths, treating them like their personal racetrack. Both sides suck: the Karens who police every pedal and the e-bike riders who treat multi-use paths like a freeway. If your whole personality is either gatekeeping bike paths or blasting past people at car speeds with no regard, you’re ruining it for everyone.

To the comments….
Had a hour conversation with my mum who could not comprehend that you need a visa to come work/live and or study in the U.K. from France. Yep that’s what #Brexit does to you

We fucking told you.
The Laffer Curve strikes again. Rachel Reeves’s absurd increases to stamp duty have backfired after tax receipts from property sales above £5m fell by £541m in the 18 months following her 2024 budget when she raised the second-home stamp duty surcharge to 5%. Data from estate agents Knight Frank show that in the 18 months subsequent to the budget, the number of sales above £5m dropped by 14% from 2,569 to 2,208, when compared with the 18 months before the budget. Of course it is not just the stamp duty that is lost but also the economic activity that accompanies the property transactions. Reeves has just signed up to the Chartwell Speakers agency to sell speeches for money. Surely for anyone to buy a speech from her is a badge of idiocy?

Imagine if some Europeans ran this. I guess they’d just get everything right all the time and it would be kind of dull. The level of ‘experts’ they have on here… 🤣

Yeah. Anyone talking videos of his Rolex and American Express gold card has COMPLETELY misunderstood the point of the post.

What if companies focused on growth and revenue increases and not cutting costs And governments focussed on cutting costs and not tax revenue growth

Hey everyone - this guy has massive holes in his life and personality and needs your attention. Please give him some.
Hmmmmm I have a major collection of Daytonas and Lange & Sohne. Some worth over 6 figures. I must be very stupid.

But this is exactly why I don’t want a cheap watch….

I have a $30 Casio that I love. Cracked the lens the first day I had it and didn’t really care

Many such replies. 🙄 The watch equivalent of ‘can anyone recommend a bike?’ - ‘get a car you twat!’

Pro tip: spend the money on a decent cellular telephone instead. I hear they have clocks on them these days... 😝🤣

I don’t have a fragile enough ego to carry a stupidly expensive watch on my wrist, but it also seems that as ever there are very little decent mid range options. I don’t need a £15k Rolex. Nor do I want a £49 Sekonda. Anyone recommend a high quality timepiece for £500-1k?
