This man is wearing a full USMC Sergeant Major (E-9) uniform, a Silver Star with Valor device, and service stripes that claim roughly 12 years of service.
He is not active duty.
He is not retired.
He says he “went to a wedding.”
The rank doesn’t match the stripes. The Silver Star is not an authorized award for him. He claims he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan twice (and so did his son), yet still chose to put on a uniform and decorations he did not earn.
Wearing the uniform of Marines—especially with combat awards—is not a costume. It is an insult to every Marine who actually earned the right to wear it and to those who never came home.
This is Stolen Valor. Call it what it is. Real service members and veterans should not have to watch this in public without someone saying something.
If your son is actually a Marine, he should be the first person telling you to take it off.
Drop the gear. Stop representing something you didn’t earn.

On this day in 1944, the Battle of Leyte Gulf began as U.S. submarines spotted and attacked the main Japanese fleet approaching the Philippines.
Over the next three days (Oct. 23–26), it became the largest naval battle in history. U.S. forces under Admiral William F. Halsey Jr. (Third Fleet) and Admiral Thomas Kinkaid (Seventh Fleet) decisively defeated the Japanese Combined Fleet. The Japanese lost three battleships, four carriers, and numerous other warships, losses they could not replace.
The victory secured the ongoing U.S. landings on Leyte, effectively ended Japan’s ability to conduct major fleet operations, and cleared the way for the liberation of the Philippines and the final campaigns of the Pacific War.

Imagine sitting in a barbershop getting your hair done when the woman whose Mercedes you’re accused of stealing walks in and drags you outside by your dreadlocks.
This Detroit woman spent two days tracking down her stolen car. She called police four times, but every time officers arrived, the car was already gone.
When she finally found it, she’d had enough. She slashed all four tires on her own Mercedes so nobody could drive away, then went inside to confront the suspected thief.
Taking matters into your own hands can get you hurt or arrested. But after calling police repeatedly and getting nowhere, I can understand why she lost her patience.
How far would you go to recover your stolen car if the police hadn’t been able to help?

Amazing feel good story.
Sometimes life writes a better story than Hollywood.
Two sisters, adopted by different families, grew up 400 miles apart in Montana without ever meeting.
Both loved sports. Both played softball. And somehow, they ended up facing each other at the same tournament.
A teammate noticed how much they looked alike. Their families started comparing information, and suddenly two strangers discovered they were biological sisters.
Think about the odds. Different homes, different childhoods, different schools, yet the same passion for sports brought them together.
They went to that tournament expecting to play softball. They left with something far more important — a sister they could finally call family.
Some stories just make you smile.

IMO, only eligible US citizens should have access to any kind of benefits.
Even if you are here legally, you should be expected to pay your own way. 😉
Most of us worked hard and never took anything from the federal gov't.
Now we have those who aren't even citizens, living off the backs of the rest of us-taking what rightfully should only go to Americans in need.
It's wrong and must be stopped.

I feel like saying this like Trump in this video to panican RINO (yes you are RINOs) Monday morning quarterbacks who keep talking about an Election Day bloodbath for Republicans.
Now mind you that’s an easy prediction with every sitting president during the midterms: a bloodbath. You’d think RINOs would accentuate the positive of Trump. Not in their nature. They prefer doom and gloom.
The reality win or lose the accomplishments of this administration will go beyond any election win. It’s remarkable considering the opposition from law warfare, media warfare, ongoing assassination attempts and political attacks.
Trump is setting the country up to prosper economically and strategically when he exists. Not to mention a secure border (Greenland), oil dependency (Venezuela and our own resources).
There’s just so much and if you stop and think you’d see it. He is Making America Great Again. Sadly he’s the one they will seek to impeach and then destroy America.
So stop with the doom and gloom. Aargh

She said it was “awkward” and walked off. He says he was just backing up the server who got stuck with the big table for a long time.
Right move or terrible customer service?
If you think the customer was fine to tip whatever she wanted after the praise, say it. If you think the owner was right to call it out, say that. No middle ground.
