SOAR: Satellite Optimized Amateur Radio. Announcement Video: youtube.com/watch?v=y_lgjdEL…
Folks on groups.IO asked for a way to support Halibut Electronics while I’m developing products. I’ve setup a Patreon: Patreon.com/HalibutElectroni…
To be clear: It’s weird to me to Patreonize a business that will be selling its products. But it’s there if you want it.
Is anyone aware of an article, podcast, YouTube video, or similar, that dropped this morning, that mentioned our Common Mode Current Choke Test Rig? Sales have been pretty flat for a while, but got a bit spike this morning. Just trying to understand why. :-)

No Trick, the Common Mode Current Choke Test Rig is $10 off! For only $49, you can measure the Common Mode response of a device, using your (Nano)VNA. What a treat!

How I know I've been at this @HalibutElec stuff for about a year now: My @github renewal just came up. I'm pretty sure GitHub was the first account with billing I signed up for when I decided to give this a go.
Hello! I will be at Pacificon today and all weekend! I don’t have a booth and am not presenting, but I will be walking around chatting with as many people as I can. If you see me, stop and say hi!

Got a dynamic mic? Need to connect it to something expecting an Electret? Have I got a circuit for you!
This will be relevant to my @HamQso talk in September. I will be releasing this amp design, and a whole lot more, as an open standard. More to come.

People who purchase things from @HalibutElec just might be getting coins as additional swag in their shipments. :-)

Thanks for the contact, Mark! I was in front of my house, SOAR & diplexer on the trash bin, battery next to it (there was some light rain as I set up for the pass).

So, uhh, I suppose I should confess that I've never actually successfully talked on a satellite before today. BUT NOW I HAVE!
Thank you to WA6ARA and @KC7MG for being my first two satellite contacts, and helping me test SOAR. :-)

Yes. Worked him during Field Day, and earlier this week with a 2W @HalibutElec SOAR prototype radio. Great to hear the NA1SS activity through the repeater! teapawt.net/WD9EWK/status/15520612…
Out in the yard again with @HalibutElec SOAR prototype & Elk, trying the ISS repeater. This time, a contact with @astro_kjell ! A lower pass today, coming from SW like yesterday's pass, and only 1 other station on for the first 3-4 minutes (thanks, KC7MG - we both worked NA1SS)
