John Mozeliak said that the Angels will be hiring a full-time GM for the 2027 season. It won't be him.
He said that process is still in its early stages. They haven't interviewed anyone yet.
Mozeliak said the new manager would be hired after the GM.

The Angels are not bringing back Kurt Suzuki as manager, the team saod.
Suzuki was dealt a bad hand and the 62-100 record reflected that. The Angels say they'll offer him a spot to stay in the org.
It's notable that GM John Mozeliak said he wanted Suzuki back.

FINAL: Brewers 3, Padres 1
Milwaukee wins a truly great four-game series and heads to the NLCS to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of last year. The two best teams in baseball, with the winner going to the World Series. The Padres fought. The Brewers were just better.

FINAL: Rays 5, Yankees 2
The Rays put the ball in play. The Yankees kicked it around. A signature game for Tampa Bay. A telling game for New York.
Back to the Bronx with the Yankees needing to take three straight to salvage their season. The Rays are a very good baseball team.

The Angels mourn the passing of former scouting director Bob Fontaine Jr.
A gifted talent evaluator and mentor, Bob helped shape generations of Angels by overseeing the signing and development of numerous Halos, including Jim Abbott, Jim Edmonds, Garret Anderson, Tim Salmon and Darin Erstad.
Bob left a lasting mark on baseball by devoting over five decades to the game. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

CHAMPS 🚀 🏆 ⚾️
Congratulations to the Rocket City Trash Pandas on winning their first Southern League Championship in franchise history!

Arjun Nimmala (Angels top prospect) had 9 HR in the last 14 games at AA. 15 of his last 17 hits have been for extra bases in that span, and he’s had an XBH in nine straight games.
Nimmala and the Trash Panda’s can win the Southern League championship tonight with a win over Biloxi.
As for some context on that…. Biloxi is Milwaukee’s AA affiliate. The Brewers farm is widely regarded as the best in MLB and most teams best prospect talent is in AA.
Biloxi has three Top 100 prospects, two are in the top 20 and Jesus Made is the #1 prospect in MLB.
The idea of the Angels AA team beating the Brewers AA for a league title would’ve been laughable a few months ago.
Right now Rocket City leads the best of 3, 1-0. Series far from over, but what a remarkable turnaround and reflection of the improvement within the organization.
