I vote with my head in the primary, and hold my nose in the general. Tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Do Ds know they were in charge from '21 thru '24? The top 30% got richer. Other 70% has been scraping by. '26 may have been a slap at Rs, but Ds will fail. More crime, moral compromise, wealth gap. Just as many investigations; against law, pro crime. Rs & Ds have a track record.

Observe permitting laws pushed nationally & in state. Easy, big commercial projects. Beyond YIMBY-ism & brotrepreneur density @ (affordable!) >400K. Build whatever, wherever. Observe Ds investigate/sue Rs, & go after law enforcement. Less likely to pick on cities? Heard of ATX?

Austin is giving $2.1 million to a Seattle NGO to get landlords to rent to recently evicted people with low credit scores and criminal histories. The NGO (called Housing Connector) lists apartments on Zillow and landlords get "$5,000 damage mitigation" and "1-month vacancy loss." The city's criteria for choosing the org included "experience in cultural competence and racial equity."

Budget season will be here before you know it. Surveys are already out. Have thoughts about the City of Austin's spending priorities? Share them here form.jotform.com/25259577765… And spread the word to your neighbors, network, and community.

How many seniors can't afford Medicare? Dems botched Ukraine, left 70% of Americans in financial decline, contributed to moral decay & anti-American rhetoric. Dems will do investigations & lawsuits against Trump & law enforcement, deliver zero for Americans, get the boot in '28.

Must be a citizen as well. Has anyone heard about what's happened to voting in MN.

Ok… So 80% of ALL Americans want mandatory voter ID. So pass that?

The midterms are a direct result of John Thune not passing the SAVE America Act. America deserves secure elections.

I know you're new to this, but facts matter. ICE was there to get medical treatment for a detainee who requested to see a doctor. I assume you support federal agents providing medical care to illegal immigrants in custody? These agitators created a dangerous situation for the public and law enforcement. Law enforcement will never back down to thugs, so efforts to intimidate ICE will fail. They called for backup, controlled the scene, and arrested two individuals who assaulted federal agents. As a public official, you should know the applicable laws. Agents are enforcing federal immigration laws passed by Congress. As mayor, you have no say in federal affairs. It's called the Supremacy Clause. I can send you a copy of the U.S. Constitution if you'd like to study up. When you talk about immigrants, please distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants. I'm the son of legal immigrants. Our family followed the law, was welcomed with open arms, and is proud to be law-abiding Americans. The two are not the same.
I'm appalled by what took place last night at White Memorial hospital in Boyle Heights, where ICE agents were obstructing emergency room entry and detained two US citizens. I condemn these reckless actions by the Trump administration.

City of Austin, we need to talk... This cannot continue the way it has been going. Working class people and businesses who have worked hard for what they have, need to stop being tormented by addicts and repeat felons who have more than 50 or even 120+ arrests.

Austin City Hall paid $126,500 to an "Afrocentric" music festival this year. The Urban Music & Cultural Fest at Waterloo Park was billed as "an Afrocentric expression of brilliance through music, art, food, and community."

They should use the same tactics they use on us: just do it their way. Have a consultant put public-facing fairy dust on it, then just take it, using the 600 lb gorilla approach.

Because he was interested and engaged in what he was inventing, not just putting his name on it. Genius still exists, but if it needs funding, it's likely someone's employee w/NDA & IP contracts. Who knows what we're missing under such "bleed for a prince" constraints.

Watching child porn and selling heroin are classified as “nonviolent offenses” by the way. This is the Mayor of Houston directly advocating for policies that protect some of the worst criminals in America.
I have signed an executive order directing HPD to no longer contact ICE for nonviolent offences, helping reduce fear in our communities. Thank you to Chief Diaz, our state and local leaders for their collaboration. A step toward building a stronger Houston. Let’s Go to Work.

Classical liberals aren't afraid to work, & have enough intelligence to understand properly used taxes help us make roads & bridges, run gov't. Never met a Libertarian who understood how tax or law enforcement benefit society. But, never met one that wasn't a trustafarian type.

There are criminals who here illegally, immigrants who vote but are ineligible, those who commit other fraud & crime, and work against American society. Big difference between them and the hard working, family-oriented immigrants who participate in American society.
