Notice here the selective pattern, #Ethiopia: how #JawarMohammed is loud and clear about Moyale, quick to demand that Kenya prosecute “inciters.” Yet, he remains silent about the Orthodox Christians killed in Arsi, the very area or zone he is from and has spent years talking about. What the world has witnessed in Arsi is nothing but a coordinated horror: church burnings and innocent people slaughtered simply for being Orthodox civilians. Not a single statement from him for the last 3 days. Zero, zilch, nada. No call for accountability. No demand that the Ethiopian regime authorities (his political friends) investigate or protect the people in his own region. Instead, his focus stays fixed on the Borana-Garre border clash so the conversation remains centered on Kenya and external actors. Meanwhile, his protégés are deployed in classic Potemkin fashion to falsely pin the crimes on “Tsimdo” (distant actors). Clearly, the plan is to do anything to keep the spotlight off him and his own Oromummaa affiliates. That is selective outrage by design.
