Adani is suing me for ₹50 crore, apparently valuing the damage to his reputation at that amount. I contend that wealth acquired through alleged wrongdoing does not confer credibility or reputation. My valuation of that reputation? ₹0. And if the reputational damage is zero, the compensation should be zero. ₹50 crore demanded. ₹0 deserved.

Mumbai's Thane Coastal Road-2 will go ahead on its original route through the buffer zone of the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary, affecting 3,754 mangroves, after the state’s coastal zone authority dropped its demand for a realignment. Of the 3,754 trees, 680 spread over 1.7 hectares will be lost for good, because they stand where the elevated road’s piers will be built. Read more: indianexpress.com/article/ci…

Two men who punched a minor girl then dragged her onto the road, continued to hit her, and ripped her t-shirt got bail within 24 hours. Meanwhile, remand extended for two guys who waved the tricolour. 🤷‍♂️

Tiger Shroff's car gets shot up in Mumbai, and the man who ordered it is sitting comfortably in Sabarmati Jail, Gujarat, under Amit Shah’s protection. Here's the documented scandal nobody in TV news will say plainly: Mumbai Police asked for Bishnoi's physical custody. Denied, because MHA under Amit Shah invoked CrPC Section 268(1) to block the transfer. That order wasn't a one-off. It was extended. Repeatedly. A gangster who has claimed responsibility for the Salman Khan threat, the Sidhu Moosewala murder conspiracy, and now Tiger Shroff's shooting; is being shielded from every state police agency that wants to interrogate him, by the Union Home Ministry. This is not negligence. Negligence is accidental. This is a pattern: a gangster transferred OUT of Tihar (where NIA and Delhi Police had access) INTO a Gujarat jail (where nobody gets access), and then a Section 268 wall erected around him so no state can touch him. Under whose watch does a jailed man run an international criminal enterprise with operatives in Canada, the US, and on Mumbai streets? Amit Shah's watch. He is the Home Minister. The buck stops with him; not with Maharashtra Police, not with Punjab, not with Rahul Gandhi. The question Modi-Shah's media shields won't ask: if Lawrence Bishnoi is so dangerous that he can't be transferred, why is he not in a high-security NIA facility with zero phone access; instead of a jail from which he apparently runs press statements and shooting orders? What exactly is the arrangement between the Modi government and Lawrence Bishnoi that makes his Gujarat custody so... convenient?

Mumbai is choking. The AQI is soaring. Thanks to builder-loving, nature-hating Fadnavis, who will not rest until Mumbaikars choke to death and his builder friends can build another tower on the heaps of our corpses. And Eknath Shinde, who thinks MMRDA is his private construction company, working overtime to keep his party relevant. Both these evil men, with their insatiable lust for money and power, are going to ensure that Mumbai is rendered uninhabitable soon. These guys will rot in hell for plunging Mumbai into absolute chaos.

Tiger Shroff was fired at, yet videos right after show him driving the car and putting full pressure on his right hand — triceps clearly visible, with no blood, swelling, or injury marks. Later at home, the same hand is heavily bandaged as if badly broken. Attack 96% Damage 69%

I honestly don't understand why politicians want to inaugurate road projects in Mumbai. The quality is now so pathetic that they should actually claim no ownership of it.
Three key Mumbai bridges; Sion, Vidyavihar and the Goregaon–Film City flyover are awaiting inauguration despite repeated deadline extensions and commuter inconvenience. The Sion bridge has been shut since August 2024, while the Vidyavihar project has been under construction since 2018. All three were targeted to open by October 15, raising hopes of relief from traffic congestion and long detours. ✍🏻 : Sarthak Mehta Read more: mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-ne…

This is the state of Worli Naka as of today. @TawdeRitu @mayor_mumbai called for strict action against illegal banners, yet nothing has changed on the ground. Announcements mean little without action. Accountability will be demanded. @AshwiniBhide @mybmcWardGS
Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde has called for a citywide campaign against unauthorised flex banners, posters and advertisements. The Mayor has written to BMC Commissioner @AshwiniBhide seeking immediate and strict action against the illegal banner issue. She has called for strict compliance with High Court orders and zero tolerance, without any political discrimination. The letter says political, social and commercial organisations should all be treated equally. She has also proposed that seized PVC flexes and banners be scientifically processed through the BMC's Solid Waste Management Department and recycled, to ensure they do not return to the streets or clog drains. All complaints regarding unauthorised flexes, banners, posters and stickers should be acted upon within a maximum of 72 hours, with a report provided to the complainant. The proposed system will also make QR codes, permission numbers, validity period and printer/agency details mandatory on authorised banners, allowing citizens and civic officials to verify permissions. Repeat offenders, including printers, contractors and agencies, could also be blacklisted. The Mayor has proposed the campaign under the slogan: “Shadu Bappa for 10 days, Flex Free Mumbai for 365 days.”

BMC is sending demolition notices to housing societies in Santacruz east for road expansion from 6 lanes to 8 lanes. The residents say atleast 1 lane on each side of the existing 6 lane road is occupied by hawkers, effectively narrowing the road. Instead of removing illegal hawkers, @mybmc has come up with a plan of road expansion. story by @DiwakarSharmaa in Mumbai Mirror

Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!
India needs @Starlink 🇮🇳 • 11,256 of India’s listed villages still lacked 4G coverage as of May 2026. • India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India. • BharatNet had laid over 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. However, its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 Gram Panchayats in June 2026. • Only 4.26% of India’s internet subscriptions were wired connections in March 2026. Starlink could give underserved communities another route to high-speed broadband. • Starlink has already built 20 gateway sites in India, according to SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer, speaking at India Mobile Congress today. • Starlink says it has developed India-specific security controls designed to keep Indian user data within India. • Its satellite network could bring high-speed internet to remote villages, mountains and islands where extending fibre or mobile networks is difficult. • Better connectivity could help rural schools access online learning, clinics offer remote consultations and small businesses reach more customers. Starlink already supports education and healthcare in remote communities internationally. • Portable Starlink terminals have supported disaster response around the world. They could give Indian emergency teams backup connectivity when floods, earthquakes or storms damage ground networks. • Direct to Cell could also help ordinary 4G phones connect beyond tower coverage, subject to Indian approvals and mobile operator partnerships. • The government itself identifies difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints as reasons for remaining coverage gaps. This is exactly where Starlink could help India reach more people. • India should complete the remaining clearances and spectrum allocation so Starlink can begin commercial service. • SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer, said that Starlink is ready to help achieve Prime Minister Modi’s vision of 100% connectivity across India. She highlighted its potential to connect remote classrooms, support telemedicine and restore connectivity after disasters, adding, “With Starlink, people can get connected within minutes, not years.” India’s hardest-to-reach communities deserve reliable internet too.

Another day, another @IndianExpress break on the EC. Sept 23. Our investigation breaks. The EC responds the same day: its platforms are protected against "unauthorized tampering", and EROs "function as per statutory powers." What we didn't know was this. The very next day, Maharashtra's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) wrote to the EC in Delhi asking for FOUR changes to ECINet, so EROs could use the discretion the law already gives them. The same concern Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had put on record. Stay with me for @vallabhozarkarr's cracker of a story in today's edition (1/11)🧵

Sometimes, I wonder if it needs more than common sense to see a crisis coming. Look at a typical case of Maharashtra. It was always a water scarce state. Yet, it has been made into India's largest ethanol-producing state, with roughly 315 crore liters annual capacity. Not only that, Maharashtra hosts almost half (45%+) of the entire country's upcoming data centers by capacity. And now, 75% of Maharashtra is declared to be under severe drought. And then we call it as a 'natural' disaster. So while villages wait for tankers, policymakers are encouraging more sugarcane, more ethanol, and more data centres. A state facing drought should treat water as capital, not as an unlimited free resource. At the end of the day, no one can drink ethanol or eat data to survive. One will need water - for sure.
