$TROLL Recapping my thesis here ❤️ I firmly believe that 'memecoins' are in the very early stages of what will become a widely-adopted and highly sophisticated investment category. You may not see this now, because trading memecoins today is much more about zooming in to lower timeframes than zooming out, and quick flips vs conviction metas and community-generated brands. Memecoin creation and trading in 2024/2025 has been the focus of revenue-generating innovations and new business models. More so than L1s, RWAs, and even AI x Blockchain. In other words, memecoin trading is an important step in the evolution of financial markets. They should be taken seriously. ---- So, with that introduction, why $TROLL? I look for a few things when making conviction plays in memecoins: ✅ A coin that finacialises an EXTANT memetic artifact. ❌ Not created in a vacuum (i.e. random) ❌ Not referencing a flash-in-the-pan trend The more well-known a meme is (i.e. the more it has permeated culture), the more low-hanging-fruit there is in terms of total addressable market. On-boarding should be easier. ✅ A meme that includes a face, preferably human (!) ❌ Not faceless (i.e. an idea without a hero) ❌ Not anthropomorphised (i.e. animals) Faces are easier to remember and harder to ignore. Therefore they will yield more 'pause time' in media impressions and build more memory structures, faster. This is especially true for faces that are 'looking at the camera' / 'breaking the 4th wall' (e.g. $Troll face). ✅ Consistent brand assets, used creatively ❌ Not creatively restrictive / dead-end ❌ Not showing up inconsistently across platforms and content The greatest memes will be creative supernovae that yield ideas and innovations that seem obvious in hindsight. They will operate around content flywheels with tens of thousands of content creators producing their own images and videos featuring the meme's distinctive brand assets. This gives the meme REACH and RELEVANCY. I call this triumvirate *MEMETIC FUNDAMENTALS*. ---- Some memecoins deliver one or two of these three things. $Troll delivers all three in abundance: ✅ An existing internet meme, established decades ago ✅ A highly recognisable human-like face that speaks to the viewer through its content. It demands and commands attention. ✅ Distinctive brand assets that make it impossible to forget. These memory structures can then be triggered with fresh content from the content flywheel. Trollface will always have a POV. It's for these reasons that I sold my USELESS bag for Troll. As much as I respect USELESS, I simply think that $Troll has more potential and is more likely to achieve insane mind-bending valuations, e.g. $100bn MC. This is my conviction. But you should have your own. I encourage you to read the theses of folks like @xbtDLN and @free_electron0 and to come to your own conclusion about $Troll. If $Troll does go to $ billions in market cap (i.e. if there are people out there who at some point in the future will pay $1-10 for 1 Troll coin, in the expectation of profit), then I think it will be largely down to the 3x areas I discussed here.
