He handed me the keys to SpaceX, then told me he was leaving to save the country. This scene is from my novel — Blackbeard’s Last Flight ( amzn.to/4puvflq ) Fiction is my shield. Make of it what you will. A scene from my novel that @elonmusk may find familiar. @SpaceX What would you have said to him? Drop it below. #BlackbeardSeries #SciFi #ElonMusk #DOGE #IamFasone

Where's the oxygen? After researchers studied nearby dwarf galaxies, they realized much of the oxygen they expected to see was missing. Galactic winds from supernova explosions are apparently more effective at removing oxygen than current models predict: go.nasa.gov/3U6N5Sc

Roman will likely find hundreds of thousands exoplanets with its remarkable instruments; meanwhile, Hubble’s capabilities allow for analysis of exoplanet atmospheres. This work is part of NASA's search for life elsewhere in the universe. Plus, Roman's coronograph instrument will be able to directly image some larger exoplanets. go.nasa.gov/4Abahhn

Hubble (along with ground-based telescopes) revealed that the expansion rate of our universe is accelerating! Soon, @NASARoman will study the “dark energy” behind this expansion with its large field of view and infrared vision.

Elon Musk tourism is real. And I'm one of the people doing it. I fly from Europe to the US again and again, and I keep meeting people from all over the world on the same mission: seeing what Elon is building with their own eyes. The checklist: 🚀 Starbase, TX, now an official Texas city. Watch Starship from the public beaches nearby. 🏭 Giga Texas in Austin. 🚕 A Robotaxi ride in Austin. 🍔 The Tesla Diner in Hollywood. 🚇 The Vegas Loop. 🌊 A SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral Elon himself said it best: "Starbase is awesome and anyone can visit, since it's on a public highway!" On the Diner, he said: "If you are in the LA area, it is worth visiting." And he wants more of them: "An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!" What's public is open to everyone. Just respect the rules: road and beach closures on launch days, safety zones, private property and staff instructions. Be a guest who gets invited back. 🇺🇸

Grok Bot is absolutely cracking me up. I asked it for a Roast-style song about Elon’s post — the one where he says he eats steak and eggs with coffee every morning. I’m listening to it right now and dying laughing. Elon, is Optimus going to be this funny too? Will Optimus be able to sing and generate songs? Can we dance together to the tracks he creates?

In September 2014, Elon stood under a tent on an almost empty beach at the very tip of South Texas, waves crashing just over the dunes, and broke ground on a launch site. In May 2025, he stood in front of a crowd at that same corner of Texas and said it plainly: "not that long ago, there was basically nothing here." Now it's a city. Literally. On May 3, 2025, Starbase voted to incorporate, 212 to 6. In Elon's words, "the first new city made in America in I think quite a few decades." I love the "I think." Even his victory laps come with error bars. What gets me is how it got there. One of the first things to fly was Starhopper, a stubby steel tank on legs that he calls "the original sort of Mad Max rocket." In August 2019 it hopped 150 meters. Then came prototypes that flew, flipped and sometimes exploded in full public view, right next to a public highway. That's his pattern. Pick the thing everyone says is impossible, build it in the open, break it, learn, build the next one, and keep going until the laughing stops. "In the space of about five or six years... we've built a small city... and a gigantic rocket factory for a gigantic rocket." Then in October 2024 the rocket came home and the launch tower caught it. His reaction: "it's really mind-blowing that the SpaceX team has been able to catch the largest flying object ever made multiple times." My favorite detail? You can just go and look. Anyone interested in seeing the largest flying object on Earth "can come here anytime they want and just drive down the public highway and see it." Name another place where you can watch the future get welded together from your car window. Why does a sandbar in Texas matter to me, thousands of kilometers away? Because it proves you don't need permission to build the future. You need a team, a beach, and the stubbornness to stay on it. The mission hasn't changed since the groundbreaking: "to take humanity and civilization and life as we know it to another planet for the first time in the 4 and a half billion year history of Earth." And the line I keep coming back to: "we can be out there among the stars making science fiction no longer fiction." From empty dunes to a city that builds Mars ships. I made a short film about it.

I have a problem. Every time I’m at a hand carwash, the dentist, the DMV — anywhere with a captive audience — I start talking about Tesla. Twenty minutes later I’m explaining Full Self-Driving to a guy whose only question was whether the wash includes undercarriage. I can feel people slowly backing toward the exit. But I can’t stop. It’s not a feature, it’s a factory setting.” For the picture, imagine you standing at a carwash with a squeegee in one hand and a Model Y key card in the other, mid-rant, while the attendant looks like he’s calculating his escape route. Or a classic: you at the dentist’s chair with your mouth wide open and a speech bubble that says “…and that’s why the yoke is better than a steering wheel.”
