There's no better example of this that the work of G-Watch (Government Watch), Multiply-Ed Philippines, Center for Youth Advocacy and Networking, and the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines - citizen-led monitoring of the education sector, and advocacy for youth participation in policy spaces.

Should we wait on the experts to “sharpen their pens after the smell of death has dissipated and moral clarity is no longer urgent”?
Brilliant article on how cowardly the global health community has been in reacting to the genocide in Gaza.

This amazing author, who chose to be anonymous, highlights how the genocide in Gaza, and discussions around Palestine in general, are reduced to "bare biological needs."

Give this brilliant episode of "This American Life" a listen. Rarely do we get to hear about the day to day experiences of a child in Gaza like this.

UNIFIL statement:
This morning, peacekeepers at a position near Kafer Kela observed an IDF Merkava tank firing at their watchtower. Two cameras were destroyed, and the tower was damaged.
Yet again we see direct and apparently deliberate fire on a UNIFIL position.

This is at UCLA, where pro-genocide protestors are shooting explosives at sleeping students in the Gaza solidarity encampment.
There has been no coverage of the *documented* violence, racism and harassment by Zionists against students across SoCal campuses.

NYT doesn’t cover the executions, the rounding up, stripping & torture of Palestinian men & boys; the massacres. It doesn’t cover the daily Israeli calls for genocide.
Because this is what it sees as the ‘tragedy’ of it all - the cost to Israel, the cost to the genocidaires.

Palestinians: We can’t continue to live under Apartheid
US: Equal civil rights is an antisemite’s agenda
Israel: We have a God-given right to all the land, on which Palestinians will have no rights, from the River to the Sea
German government: Israel has the right to commit any war crimes to stop the antisemitic campaign for equal rights from the River to the Sea
British government (& US university Presidents): Anyone who mentions the phrase “from the River to the Sea” must be sanctioned/arrested/silenced (unless they are Zionists, or German politicians, proclaiming the Jews’ God-given right to a Greater Israel)
Western Media: It is all too complicated.
