Worth a read, especially this bit:
#MyHealthRecord affords some dynamic consent mechanisms, these typically rely on a digitally literate and engaged consumer. These tensions regarding consent sit uneasily with a national system that is unlikely to incorporate individual needs,
Set against backdrop of the Australian #MyHealthRecord, this article examines technoutopian portrayals of digital health, practicalities for engaging stigmatised communities with these imperfect systems, and possibilities for data justice.

ALT Screenshot from an article that says: "In 2018, following government policy changes to Australia’s national electronic health record system, ‘My Health Record’, consumer advocates—including organisations representing people living with HIV, people who use drugs and sex workers—raised concerns about privacy and data security. Responding to these controversies, this study explores the practical, ethical and political complexities of engaging stigmatised communities with digital health systems."
"If all the information is there, such as in #MyHealthRecord ..."
I'd be very surprised.
As it tells you when you log on, there will be no history.
It was designed to be, and is, at best a summary system.
Do have a look, it's probably empty
When it comes to early diagnosis, having access to information as soon as it's available is crucial. As Dr Lawrie Bott notes, "If all the information is there, such as in #MyHealthRecord, you're going to get a better result". See what's in your record: my.gov.au
The article doesn't mention #myhealthrecord, which isn't surprising as it was explicitly designed to not be a communication tool.

This is damning criticism of Australia's #myhealthrecord
After nine years in operation and over $2billion wasted, Victoria is starting again.

Do you suppose he knows that #myhealthrecord has no place for your medical history?
A Shared Health Summary is a snapshot of your current status, not a history, although you might try and put a few words in it because there is nowhere else.

My recollection (and the transcript abc.net.au/radio/programs/co…

is that he was responding to a question on "an underlying medical condition" and he talks about getting "your diagnosis into the system"
He was rather vague about the context of the advice though

I'd suggest you relisten to the Podcast - he categorically urged listeners to get to their GPs to have their medical conditions uploaded as MhR & MyGov would be used to determine eligibility. Categorically stated this

After 8 years #myhealthrecord is a failure. If it were a success, or even almost a success, NSW wouldn't need to do this:

"The Committee notes the importance of individuals keeping their My Health Record up to date"
One sentence completely destroys the reliability and usefulness of #MyHealthRecord.
Most people think it happens automatically. It doesn't.
