Are you serious?
The @ANAO_Australia identifies security and privacy problems with #myhealthrecord and you have no plan to deal with them but you carry on promoting it.
Have you not read the report? Start with the first 4 recommendations.
When you and your #healthcare providers use #DigitalHealth you won’t need to remember every detail of your medical story.
This makes it easier to keep track of your health, and your family's. bit.ly/benefitsMHR

"And how many of them have been used in a clinical context for actual care - not just uploading data?" I would guess very few or the ADHA would be issuing a stream of excited press releases!!!!!

"personalized health" is enabled by health records. He who collects health data unnecessarily, (e.g. #myhealthrecord) probably has surveillance in mind.
If they don't they soon will - just after the Data Sharing and Release bill is passed.
“Consumers, clinicians and institutions need to understand that personalized health is a type of surveillance. There is no way around it, so it needs to be recognized and understood.”

Maybe if @healthgovau stopped pouring (literally) $billions into @tkelsey1's #MyHealthRecord #datagrab, and put just a fraction of that funding into @AusGenomics - currently managing just "over $55m" in projects - you all might get something that'll actually help people...

"One is left completely puzzled why the existing $2.5 billion dollar #myhealthrecord
is not used to collect this data in clear sight of the patient, the medical profession and the community at large."
Because the data is unreliable and incomplete?
"Are you ready for your doctor to get paid for supplying your data to the government on August 1 without any need for your consent?"

Just rang my local chemist and asked them about my data with them. Chemist told me that they had opted out of my health record because of the lack of privacy. Very pleased to hear this as we were one of the unlucky ones given a my health record who then had to have it turned off.

The horse has bolted but this article does make me reflect many people will potentially affected by the standing consent that applies to all those new #MyHealthRecord created after the cut-off date.
And let's call a spade a spade - there was no proper consent
This article is extremely important reading (and links in to some of our comments about #myHealthRecord and differential risk for the disadvantaged).

Yes! And remove autonomy. Quite a few distressed elderly patients unable to opt out of MyHealthRecord- the not-so-secure government repository of all their personal health, that they didn't ask for and can't access... 😠

And safety is never a popularity contest. Look at the caliber of the many public figures who opted out our #MyHealthRecord, and the reasons they gave. Privacy best practice almost unequivocally is you let people opt-in to complex systems, you don't corral them by default.

Another reminder that the weakest link #MyHealthRecord's 'military grade' security is the thousands of end points — the computers and systems in individual hospitals and doctors' offices. #Privacy

"The opt-out rates of individuals in opt-out trial sites was low (1.9%), which is in line with international experience"
