Both wrong, it's because you have to be some level of disturbed, deranged, or mentally free to write good stories and that precludes you from being either a left wokie or a righty puritan. The mentally subjugated can not create, they only know fear.

You guys don’t know how to write characters because you don’t know how people act; your ideology pigeon-holes everyone into “nazi” or “gay”, even heterosexual characters have to be gay-like or else they’re decried as being sexist. You’re all so sheltered from the kaleidoscope of human archetypes that you write ONE character and just tweak it slightly based on whatever arbitrary boxes they tick off.
Your aesthetics are homogenous, all disgusting and covered in coats of neon paint, no sense for the style or purpose of visual media. You guys don’t understand, or perhaps more accurately hate, beauty and so your entire artistic identity centres around deconstructing and perverting it.
And then worst of all, the plot. You always write the same fucking plot! Plucky band of misfits commit crimes but are heroes because the big bad fascists tell you to get a job and clean up your act. You can do whatever evil shit you want because you’re the heroes and they’re the bad men who tell you no. It’s all just impotent seething rage at a society that wants to continue functioning, despite your incessant tantrums. Nuance and complexity are always accidental, and get noticed by rightists who then just claim the villains because you cannot grok why people might like a character that’s been labelled “bad”.
And all of this is why you fuckers latch onto and try to claim, try to steal, apolitical- or even baseline right wing- stories, games, movies, etc.; everything your side produces to reinforce its ideology is garbage, so inevitably the baseline adherents look to what’s good. But the good stuff isn’t made for your ideology, it’s made to be good, so you make up a load of headcanon bullshit to warp and twist, to rape the creation of someone else, and force it to represent you.
Nobody is afraid of being convinced by your garbage because it can’t even convince those who already agree with it. Your shit actually just stinks.
This is simply a vile and toxic mentality.
Stop condemning people because they don't agree with you on everything.
You can't say anything about diversity when you're unwilling to have someone with a differing opinion than you.
This needs to end, so tired of this. I genuinely hope for the worst for your company, may it meet an inglorious end and anyone with this wretched mentality suffer a similar fate- I hope you will be fired for being an insufferable loser.

Lets not act like the huge red wave wasn't in large part due to people who hold liberty as their primary value came out in huge numbers because of the burgeoning authoritarianism on the left. And to repay that we got republican candidates going harder on policing american speech, flock surveillance, further condemnation on THC, ID verification shoved into everything, nothing to stop the censorship monopoly that's involved in extra-judicial action denying Americans the right to purchase legal goods and services with their own money. Applying their own arbitrary standard to what they think Americans should be allowed to purchase.
Of course you were never going to keep your record breaking coalition having failed to meet that expectation as well.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
I've had some great experiences with artists-
However I have also been friends with multiple artists that do this to people.
I had a friend that took commissions, and talked to us (friend group) about it. How he would start and then not have motivation to continue, and then keep inviting us to play league instead of doing what he agreed to do. I would ask, out of my own sense of justice, if he had finished the work that he got people to pay for. He would constantly give reasons and excuses- even to me, as to why he put it off. Would still just play games, and say he had no motivation to draw. I did guilt him over not doing what he said he would do for his clients. I also tried to guilt him because he would sometimes talk bad about the people messaging him, asking for their commissions. He would just end up ghosting several people over about a dozen (just that I know of), and removing them because he was socially anxious and got scared of communicating with people especially after so long and they were 'being mean' to him. I tried to explain that they were obviously upset for a good reason..
I'm not friends with that person anymore.
I tried to empathize. I can understand feeling lack of motivation, but continuing to try to take commissions because he needed the money (he really did, though he also bought league skins so he wasn't really that good with his money either), despite that he knew he didn't have the willpower to finish them was just wrong. Then obviously talking poorly about someone mad over that, ironically made me mad at him too.
I have other stories with artists that are similar, eerily similar. I would say those that do this, cite lack of motivation, A LOT. That is the number one thing they say, it's always that they don't feel like it and that the commission they took doesn't excite them and it feels like a 'chore', a lot of those comments.
That said there's also many good artists that do deliver without question and are wonderful and communicative, but if you're looking in online spaces especially X and Discord you will find the Burnout Artists that do that are very quick to try and get your money.
Funnily enough Anthropic has decided to lose the AI race.
We all know the least censored AI is going to be what wins. Whether it's Western or Chinese, is entirely up to if the Western devs listen to pointless complaints that no one cares about.
If only a vast amount of people weren't constantly saying that this is the natural conclusion of pushing for ANY censorship.

AI doesn't 'generate games' people with human creativity, come up with ideas and systems and the AI serves as a coder or artist, as you would have an employee that you tell what you want and have them make what you describe- literally the same thing he does.
He's not only wrong, but he would just rather those features not exist. Which is why he doesn't want to build them for the epic store.
Steam is a benefit to gamers, you don't have to use its social features, but it's the only gaming corporation actually building out gaming infrastructure. It's very clear that Tim is a part of the people who actually just want to destroy gaming, else he would be celebrating the leaps that Steam has made in gaming accessibility and connectivity- and would be trying to replicate it himself and trying to support the continued production of these important tools.
But look at what he's doing, he's using lawfare- he's trying to force exclusivity- he's not building features or anything to your benefit as a gamer. He would certainly never consider working with Linux platforms to build a more sustainable gaming environment. If he had his way he'll force you onto microslop with a half-baked shitty service and take away any control or benefit to the gamer. He is a political plant and it's painfully obvious. Any small iota of care he pretends to have for the medium is entirely in service to the attempt to try to 'win' at taking total control over the gaming sphere.
There is no doubt, not even for a moment that if he got his way, any game that goes against corpo politics would be removed from his store and he would make sure no one else has the right to sell you that game.
Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam.
The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem.
Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut.
However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.

Except, this is one of the only time and place throughout recorded history in which you could be accepted for who you are, whether you're trans or not. This I think is in fact unarguably the best time to be trans, thusfar. How is that not noticed?
This applies to more than trans people, but especially to them. It is why people find it so strange when trans and queer people support societies and people that actively would call for you to be killed, while demonizing people who may fundamentally respect but disagree with you. It makes no sense to me. A lot of people fought really hard for the longest time to make this civilization, and although it isn't perfect, it is what makes the west great. You have freedom, and we work to protect that freedom. That is why you can be open and queer and you'll find love and acceptance somewhere in the west even if some people still reject you. But some people, have been so propagandized- which it must be that because I can think of no other reason- to hate the one culture within history that has helped you to be who you truly are.
How can you be queer and hate the culture that allowed you to be queer? To the other side, how can you love freedom but hate that people choose to express themselves in ways you don't like?
I feel like there's a rot of madness that people are so clouded in their judgement. That no one sees how precious and important this freedom is, it's taken for granted at every opportunity- by too many people on any side.
It's funny sure, but I want to point out how inaccurate this is by the way-
When you talk about how some of these games lose 10s to 100s of millions of dollars. Where do you think that money is going? It went to pay for these activists, they aren't going back to put the fries in the bag, they are rich. They are wealthy. They are wealthier than 99% of people who liked Asmons reply. Just by the way. They aren't actually hurt by this. They're wealthy and they have such nepotistic connections that you'll find them in a new studio to rot it from the inside by the end of the month.
I think we need to get realistic about that and stop larping and figure it out that the people you want to have this outcome aren't actually disadvantaged by this at all. Because- If you want to figure out how to stop them from ruining what you love, you have to acknowledge that first.
The Bioware lost today isn't the Bioware you knew, there's nothing to lament because that Bioware was already long gone.
What lies here now is a skin-suit puppeteered by political extremists. Because of that there is nothing to be pleased about either, as this was their intended conclusion. They enjoy ripping apart what you loved, and parading its carcass before you.
The best thing anyone can do now, for the future, is to ensure you do everything you can to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Because right now they're targeting what remains of what else you love.
This is why they should have reviewed the post before she sent it-
Would it really have been that hard to say 'Do not send me unsolicited sexually explicit images against my will, I do not accept or condone that behavior and you will be removed from the community for doing so' ? No one would have had a problem with such a statement. And it's a lot fewer words.
Then again, a generalized sweeping statement against sexual comments when the real problem was explicit pictures? Doesn't really make sense does it. Her statement doesn't seem to address what they claim to be the actual reason at all.

Has nothing to do with guys, or even being parasocial.
If you make content with sexualized dirty jokes, the kind of people that will be in your audience will be those people. They don't need to be 'animals' or even parasocial to think that's the environment there in where that is accepted, she literally cultivated that herself. To be upset at the very audience that you sowed is absurd.
They're also just chat comments, words on the screen. Unless someone is going out of stream with any of it, this is such a low-stakes 'problem' to even be worried about in the first place. So no one sane is going to have sympathy when it doesn't really matter and she built the community herself.

Programmers have been finding ways to automate as much of their work as possible since the inception of the profession. If there's any profession in which doing something by hand that which you could have automated, makes you a fool, it would be programming.
This is literally nothing new, and anyone acting like there's purity in the process of doing it by hand, they are not a programmer.
