Setting new records is hard.
Our X-ray laser has done it again – a new record for the shortest high-energy pulses ever generated by an X-ray free electron laser. These “hard” attosecond X-ray pulses clock in at mere billionths of a billionth of a second: stanford.io/4jyWyvJ
We’re proud to announce that Harry B. Gray and Jay R. Winkler have been named Citation Laureates 2026 by @ClarivateAG! Their pioneering research in Chemistry is shaping the future of science.

🗓️ Three months ago today #Iran shut off access to the global internet. While connectivity has now largely returned, metrics indicate that users still face heavy filtering, similar to the interim period between the January protests and the start of the war.

⬇️ #Iran's internet blackout is now in its 86th day as the population remains in digital darkness after 2040 hours.
While access to the global internet remains largely cut during peace talks, select whitelisted users project a synthetic view of Iranian life to the outside world.

US study found that English professors got much better student evaluations than maths professors.
"Professors teaching quantitative courses are far more likely not to receive tenure, promotion, and/or merit pay when their performance is evaluated against common standards."

We discovered two P450 enzymes AscB/MmsB, catalyze a Tyr-C3-Trp-N1 cross-link and hydroxylation at Trp-C5 in the YxWxH motif. Interestingly, only AscB can catalyze additional Trp-C4-His-Nτ, generating a fused cyclophane RiPPs | Organic Letters

Millions are still effectively held hostage without access to the internet.
It has now been 49 days.
This is what this barbaric regime does to pretend it still has control. Access to a free and open internet without censorship or VPN barriers should be a basic human right.
And the I.R. regime has been violating it for years.
#DigitalBlackOutIran
⌛️ The internet shutdown in #Iran has now entered its 49th day after incident hour 1152. International connectivity remains low, around 2% of ordinary levels, despite some users gaining partial access to the Google search home page, as was also observed in the January blackout.
