Today is the last day of ~160 days that I've spent, on & off, at @thenairobihosp over the last 1/4 of a decade...mostly in I.C.U.
My body feels AWESOME right now. It's taken >15 surgeons & specialist, hundreds of nurses & medical staff to put humpty dumpty back together again.

I have an Aunt that used to make the most amazing pilau njeri when I was a kid.
If you told me she sprinkled cocaine on it, I'd believe it.
Always planned to ask her how she made it when I next met her.
She passed on last week and, now, I never will.
There's a lesson there.
It's safe to assume that every high-brow media that reports on geopolitics/foreign policy is secretly/indirectly funded by the CIA/U.S. State Dept.
Counterbalance by following a citizen journalist in the region of interest.

I got this message from a senior police officer following my request for a statement in the Senate on the welfare of police officers in Kenya.
“I have been asking myself: if a DCI office at the sub-county level receives less than KSh 200,000/- in AIE funds over a period of three months, our salaries, fuel, and motor vehicle maintenance then where does the rest of the billions allocated annually to the police service go?
This is a genuine question about public finance and resource allocation. Officers on the ground are often expected to deliver results with extremely limited operational funds, yet the police service receives a substantial budget every year. Greater transparency on how these funds are distributed from headquarters to operational units would help build public confidence and improve accountability.
Even some sub counties have no vehicles and have as few as four officers and no AIEs.”

In uni, I used to play tennis with a Malaysian guy that competed against a 12 yr @lleytonhewitt (former no.1) while he (Malaysian guy) was 17 yrs.

Pretty sure the next law will be to forbid citizens from staying within 100 metres of a polling station after voting + a curfew that mandates everyone stay home after 6
