Mel is spot on- frightening
Tomorrow the Chancellor must address the welfare budget. Half a BILLION pounds a day on working-age welfare. The wrong incentives and the bill is growing. Labour cancelled our reforms which the OBR said would see 450,000 fewer people on health benefits. The Chancellor must act.

”I try to give honest answers” ….Burnham Try harder…. Everyone else !
🤨 WATCH as Richard Madeley EXPOSES Andy Burnham’s real Brexit plans live on @GMB Andy Burnham completely gave the game away on Labour’s quiet scheme to drag Britain back into the EU while being grilled by Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid. Susanna hit him with the betrayal of his own voters. Sixty-five per cent of his constituents voted Leave and he had promised he would not reopen the entire Brexit argument. His answer was slippery: “I said we wouldn’t rerun the referendum and that’s not what I’m doing.” The wording is deliberate. He only ruled out rerunning the referendum. He left the door wide open on rejoining. Then Madeley confronted him head-on and Burnham could barely keep a straight face. Madeley: “You’re flying kites, aren’t you, Prime Minister? Watching and listening to what you were saying over the weekend, it was a classic case of somebody testing the water. You’re testing the public mood. You’re checking to see, and I’m sure you’re looking very closely at, the reaction that you’ve had from the public and from the media this morning and over the weekend.” Watch Burnham’s face as Madeley presses further. In that exact moment. The smile almost breaks through. He knows Madeley has nailed him: “You’re looking to see if actually this is on. If actually it’s on, to suggest maybe in the next manifesto that we should rejoin the EU?” Burnham ducked and weaved, going round the houses to avoid a straight answer. “I was asked a question Richard so I didn’t fly that kite. I was asked and I try to give honest answers.” Try? He tries to give honest answers? That is a very odd way to put it. Why not just say he gives honest answers? The grin told the whole story. He would be a terrible poker player. Labour’s plan is now obvious. Rejoining the EU goes into the next manifesto. No referendum. Over 17 million people cast their votes in an historic decision to leave. Whether you agreed or disagreed, that vote happened and it cannot be casually overturned without another referendum. Anything less is a disgrace.

Rhun ap Iorwerth "straight faced lied to us", campaigners for an inquiry into the Covid-19 pandemic in Wales have said. Responding to Plaid Cymru's refusal to hold an inquiry with full statutory powers, the Covid Bereaved Families for Justice Cymru group said the party had "betrayed everyone". 📸 Senedd Cymru

We really must hold firm against demands for reparations. Working with a historian, I looked into the vast contribution that the British made to countries like India, Mauritius and Kenya for my book, ‘Patriot: Empire, betrayal and hope’. It was thanks to British investment, innovation and leadership that former colonies prospered, women were emancipated, girls were educated, living standards improved and life expectancy increased. We don’t owe these countries a penny.
The King will face protests demanding slavery reparations during his visit to the Caribbean this week, The Telegraph can reveal. Activists are understood to be planning to hold demonstrations on the streets of Antigua when the monarch arrives, as part of a long-running campaign to secure compensation from European powers. 🔗 hhttps://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2026/10/26/king-protests-caribbean-slavery-reparations-antigua/?WT.mc_id=tmgoff_tw_post_protests-caribbean-slavery-reparations-antigua/

Replying to @WelshGovernment
@WelshGovernment wants more money from Westminster. But for what? First priority seems to be more and more expensive 'green energy' - pushing up people's bills. No mention of the NHS. xitter.cf/WelshTreasury/status/2…
Ahead of the UK Budget, Finance Minister Elin Jones has written to the Chancellor urging a fair deal for Wales on rail, the cost of living, and public spending. "Wales has waited long enough. This is the UK Government's chance to show it's serious." 🧵1/5

Out now: 'It's Always Who You Know' Yet another @WelshGovernment scheme to give money away is Ynni Cymru. Millions are dished out every year to provide 'community benefits' from green energy. But who really benefits? Click here to read: bit.ly/4yCxHLf

Let's do Buddhism next It's a lot more intellectually respectful
Police officers in Bracknell, England, visited Bracknell Mosque for an educational session about Islam and Muslim culture, aiming to strengthen ties with the local Muslim community. Organised by PCSO Molenda and a local imam, the visit included observing prayers, touring the mosque and attending a presentation about Islam. Community members also provided refreshments. Thames Valley Police said learning about different faiths and traditions helps build trust between officers and residents, supporting safer and more inclusive communities.

I feel like crying when I see this Sikh, who runs a really good restaurant, first being threatened by Halal fans, and then finding the British police backing the Halal fans instead of defending him This should never be happening in our country Vote Restore ! Have to go now, there's a knock at the door
Again, restaurant owner in London got arrested after being attacked by Pakistani goons who are backed by the Mayor of London. Remember him, he kept being abused by Muslims in London because he refused to serve halal food. London is ruled and run by Islam. This is what happens when you open your borders up to Muslim immigrants.

I was just reading about Cobra meeting over fears the South West and Sussex could run out of water and a news alert popped up that we might run out of diesel as well. This government is a disaster.

If we were back in the EU Burnham couldn’t cut pickle tariffs. And yet he wants to cut the tariffs and rejoin the EU. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ A very confused man.
The Prime Minister seems very conflicted on Brexit. Ahead of the budget tomorrow, he's announced the removal of import tariffs on over 100 products like baked beans, chocolates and fertilizer. This is a freedom you don't have as an EU member at all. gov.uk/government/news/every…

LEAVE OUR KIDS ALONE!! Labour, Plaid Cymru and Lib Dems backed compulsory Relationships and Sexuality Education from age THREE, with no general right for parents to withdraw. Fix Wales’s NHS and failing public services. RESPECT PARENTS. PROTECT CHILDHOOD. LEAVE OUR KIDS ALONE!
The legality of mandatory relationships and sexuality education for three year olds in Wales has been questioned by a Reform politician. Catherine Cullen (pictured) asked Plaid Cymru ministers if parents have the right to withdraw children from the lessons if the teaching does not conform to their religious and philosophical convictions. 📸 Senedd Cymru #sexeducation #senedd #wales
