Year 2 had a fantastic visit from The History Van. A full day immersed in the day to day lives and activities of the Tudors - the good, the bad and the ugly! Everything from armour and wielding cross bows to weaving on looms and choosing ‘cures’ for victims of the plague!💙

Y2 had a brilliant day yesterday with @HistoryVan. We learnt so much about the Romans and especially loved being a part of the army!

The tightest and hardest fought History Teacher Book Club vote has concluded. After nearly 500 votes were counted, with 40% of the vote, “The Uses and Abuses of History” by Margaret Macmillan will be our next #HTBC book club read. Thanks to everyone that participated.

Y3s experiencing life in the Stone Age - hunter gatherers, scraping fur, hammering guts, building fences, making arrows and matching bones to the animal. Fantastic first hand learning. Thank you Kathryn from @HistoryVan

We really enjoyed our visit from the @HistoryVan this week! We had a jam packed history day where we made cutlery, wrote with ink pens, played with Victorian toys and much much more.
