Good thing I was born in the 80’s. Otherwise I wouldn’t know how to keep up with the latest tech and be like this dad in the eero commercial who is blowing on the Ethernet cables and power adapter hoping everything would work! Haha @geteero
Built a card in @Home_Assistant to track downtime of Comcast. Been pretty bad today. Note that an “outage” can occur with packet loss above a certain threshold and does not necessarily mean it’s completely down. Come on @Comcast… I just unplugged it so I can use my backup ISP.
I’m glad I physically disconnected the WiFi module on my refrigerator and not used SmartThings. Otherwise I could possibly be dealing with this mess (I don’t have the AI fridge model though): notebookcheck.net/The-refrig…
Although I had @OPNsense set up as a transparent filtering bridge for a while when using the @GrandstreamNet GCC6020, I have moved back to OPNsense as my primary router/firewall now that Kea DHCP has matured further to support dynamic IPv6 prefix delegation to downstream routers!
This is why I need to have a backup Internet service when working from home. It’s @Comcast(ic)!
I created several T-shirt designs! I have made a couple of twists on “It’s always DNS”. This one in particular makes me laugh because when Cloudflare is down it takes down a lot of websites, apps, and services: shop.homenetworkguy.com/prod…
A continuation of the @OPNsense transparent filtering bridge (for 26.1-26.7) showing how to set up 4 different security services on the bridge. youtu.be/MFb6wOnluoc
An example network build using the @TPLINKUS Omada Fusion 2.5G as the gateway/router/firewall in a 10" mini-rack.

What impact does data channel offloading make with @OpenVPN? I explore that feature in this video: youtu.be/RY5-Du-wwoI
Video version of the @OPNsense transparent filtering bridge for 26.1 is now published! youtu.be/ZCDXNxDhrIQ
Finally updated the @OPNsense transparent filtering bridge guide for 26.1! The approach to configuring the interface is slightly different (perhaps more streamlined) than the previous version but the outcome is ultimately the same. Plan to do a video also.

When I was visiting in-laws in St. Louis, I had the honor to visit @geerlingguy at his studio! Quite fun to meet in person and see everything behind the camera! I thank Jeff for having me.
Also, I’m obligated to say, ‘this is not AI!’— just ask Jeff! Haha
Tested out the Radxa Dual 2.5GbE Router HAT for the Raspberry Pi 5. I've had it for about a year but thought it was good time to show another DIY OpenWRT router option (for those who enjoy tinkering).

Anyone else feel like X is just posting something and everyone in the comments asking Grok questions instead of the OP? Feels like it takes the human aspect out of social media so it’s essentially a social AI chatbot platform that allows others to see your prompts.
Part 2 example of setting up a network using @OPNsense 26.1 using @TPLINKUS Omada networking!
