CNG is supposed to ease everything rather than the extortion seen everywhere. I am saying this as someone who uses CNG and I am enjoying every bit. What I spend 80k on weekly while using fuel now reduces with less than 20k with CNG. This has to stop

First launch of these CNG buses, they put on AC for all rides. Two weeks in, they started telling terrible stories that they run the buses on petrol. You told us CNG but you’re using petrol?
Just carry your kolekole company and go, we don’t want you again Mr Mutiu Okunola!

Uncomfortable conversations to be had very soon.
I have gotten details of this from someone else and I really hope it's a lie, I really do , because if it isn't I will be very disappointed.
It will explain a lot of things currently going on on campus, and the students deserve to know.

As seen in my dm just now
Still gathering details
What happened between the OAU student union leaders and guestimate?
Expect full details soon 🙏
Why is OAU trending?
OAU is trending because the students have had enough of the wicked man in this picture. An ordinary waste management company privileged to manage the CNG buses and tricycles donated by First lady( which we didn't ask for btw).
All he has done since then was exploit OAU students, mismanage the buses, under pay drivers. Buses are always parked and students are subjected to long queues every day. 4 people are forced to sit on a set meant for 3 people. Transportation now more expensive and less comfortable for students.
The students have had enough! Guesstimate must go!
This wicked man must go!

This is the man making life hard for students!
Mr. Mutiu

The CNG buses were donated to make life easy for students, but this is someone trying to frustrate the students with it…
I have make contact with the SUG and he assured me they will meet the management today to resolve all issues, and the man have been giving a stern warning …
I will update you after the SUG meeting with the management and I promise to follow up keenly ..
Good morning, Mr. President.
Last semester, Her Excellency, the First Lady (an alumna of Obafemi Awolowo University), generously donated CNG buses and tricycles to the university free of charge. This intervention was widely welcomed and significantly changed our campus transportation system. The traditional “town-igboro” buses and commercial bikes were phased out in favour of the new CNG fleet.
While the donation was a positive step, the transition initially slowed movement on campus. Students protested the inconvenience, but the only outcome was a three-week break.
The company awarded the contract to manage the CNG buses — Guesstimate (owned and managed by Mr. Mutiu Okunola) — has since begun exploiting students.
• The original fare was one ticket (₦100) from the gate to the bus stop.
• Mr. Mutiu later doubled it to two tickets, making it more expensive than what we previously paid the old transport operators.
• He is now pushing to increase it further to three tickets for the bus-stop to Road 7 route.
The Students’ Union held a meeting with him to address these concerns. He walked out violently in the middle of the discussions. His approach has become increasingly high-handed and dictatorial.
@iambabtee, please look into this matter and intervene on behalf of the students. What began as a well-intentioned donation to ease transportation costs is now being turned into a tool for exploitation.
We kindly request your urgent attention and intervention.
Thank you.

When i started selling food in queens hall university of Ibadan as a 100 level student
I never imagined that this would someday be my life ,i am not even halfway anywhere yet but ah this is so big for me
I faced so many challenges from spending my school feees to fund my cooking business and then being scammed of all my business money which almost got me withdrawn from the university to being robbed in a micra On my way to the market, to stopping the whole business nd starting nd stopping again
Let me romanticize my small wins o
Na me know wetin i don even go through for this life
Its only up from here!
I just engaged in an online debate titled Dead aid... It was really an interesting one..
What do you think about foreign aid? Are you pro aid or anti aid?...
OAU really needs to address the persistent delay in uploading students' results.
Why should Harmattan semester results only be uploaded towards the end of the Rain semester?
PSY 325 results, for instance, were uploaded only recently, and now quite a number of finalists have scores below 40, potentially costing them an extra year.
Students deserve timely results, transparency and, above all, the opportunity to plan their academic lives. This delay needs to stop.
