The Refugee Convention was written 70 years ago.
It has protected millions of people across the world since then. These testimonies, from people who have found sanctuary in the UK, are a reminder of how important this document still is. #UNHCR70

Well said Dr Saad Maida. I feel the same too. I am deeply grateful to this country! Somewhat and somehow I would like to find a way to pay back 🧡
2/8 Refugee Dr Saad Maida who works for NHS said: The UN Convention has had a huge impact on me. It's given refugees freedom & acknowledges that we have rights... I feel immense gratitude & hope somehow to pay that back. #TogetherWithRefugees #UNHCR70

We are very much enjoying being surrounded by David Storey's paintings. Here is a mock-up to show you just how good one of the paintings from David's latest collection could look in your home. Dog not included sadly...

Edge Hill Prize 2021 longlist is here! ehu.ac.uk/6h0 Congrats to all the writers & publishers. It was a strong year & we've gone with 15 books instead of the usual 12. All entries showed us there is a wealth of talent out there writing in the short story form!
