The reason why we may be worried that robots will take our jobs is because we’ve made our jobs more robotic
Our jobs have become about dashboard. About optimization. About logic. About repetitiveness. About rational predictable improvements.
These are by far and away tasks that are better accomplish accomplished by a robot
It’s not that we should be more human to safeguard our jobs, it’s that we should be more human because it’s the best way to better marketing. We have to double down on what makes us special. It’s about judgment. It’s about empathy. It’s about instinct. it’s about magic , it’s about what’s irrational it’s about what’s unexpected. It’s about being different.
There is absolutely nothing in life that matters that can have a ROI attached, everything that we value has soul, so the future of marketing, and people in it, it’s not to ignore the maths, it’s not to ignore the data, but it’s to love the maths, and the data are enough to know when it doesn’t matter, and then win fights based on being able to persuade us to do the stuff that transcends everyday, predictable , tried and tested.
If I see one more person talking about Marketing being 1000 AB test, I’m going to scream . Marketing is about knowing the best thing to do first time

This is a case study where I delivered exceptional results for a client. Notice the impression share compared to the trackable conversion rate for iOS versus non-iOS. Most in the industry would dismiss this approach and claim we’re misguided for allocating most impressions to iOS when the non-iOS bucket shows a 6x higher conversion rate. They’d likely cap us as ineffective or “vaporware.”
This is where traditional attribution tracking fails. It doesn’t fully grasp how attribution works or how to optimize an entire budget effectively. Using a predictive MMM analysis against real client business goals, we identified which channels/tactics drove the highest impact on the client’s business KPIs. We then forecasted budget allocations to achieve client goals over time. This optimal budget allocation defies conventional buy-side optimization thinking.
