Raj Thackeray says he's fighting monopolies, not individuals.
Fair enough.
Then why not present actual evidence of monopoly?
Market share, regulatory findings, competitive harm. Something beyond the usual political speeches.
I shared a documentary by Sabir Bhatia on my social media detailing the long-standing friendship between Gautam Adani and Narendra Modi, and how the Indian industrial landscape is consequently being handed over to Adani. It garnered over 4.8 million views on Twitter alone and received an overwhelming response on Facebook as well, not to mention the additional, uncounted views from shares by others.
My intention was for this serious issue to reach the public, and that objective has been achieved. While Sabir Bhatia produced this documentary recently, I had already delivered a major presentation back in January 2026 at Shivtirth in Mumbai, illustrating how the Adani Group is effectively setting out to swallow the entire nation.
That presentation received an exceptional response, and those videos remain available on my social media to this day. In fact, some clips from our presentation were even incorporated into this documentary. Anyways.
I have clarified my stance on this matter time and again: my opposition is not directed at any specific individual, but rather against the rise of a monopoly. I have often stated in my speeches that the Prime Minister should foster the growth of many industrialists across the country, creating vast employment opportunities and generating immense wealth for the nation, and empower them to conquer global markets.
However, if the government chooses to favor only one person to the point where it poses a threat to the nation, we oppose it and will continue to do so. My opposition is, therefore, directed against any form of monopoly, whether it involves Adani or anyone else.
Even now, the central government has directed the state government to hand over several hundred hectares of forest land in Bhimashankar to the Gujarat-based Torrent Group. This government has handed over vast tracts of forest and wilderness land in Maharashtra to a select group of industrialist friends, and it plans to hand over even more! I care little about which political party anyone belongs to; however, as citizens of Maharashtra, how can you remain so indifferent while our state is being sold off right before your very eyes? Does it not even spark a sense of outrage among our Marathi Members of Parliament, MLAs, and ministers to see this happening? Such total submission to power is entirely inconsistent with the history, traditions, and culture of Maharashtra. Why, then, do you bother raising slogans in the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or putting on a farce by singing the state anthem? Anyway..
Sabeer Bhatia’s documentary received such an overwhelming response that it was only natural for those in power to grow anxious, fearing that their secrets might be exposed. The intensity of this fear must have been significant, as I received a request, conveyed through the Mumbai Police Commissioner, to take it down.
My primary objective, both during the meeting in January 2026 and through the subsequent posting of this documentary, was and remains, to enlighten the nation. However, the request I received came from the Mumbai Police Commissioner. The Mumbai and Maharashtra Police forces are among the most efficient in the country, and I have always held them in high regard. Out of respect for the head of the Mumbai Police, I am choosing to honor this request.
Therefore, I am deleting the post containing the documentary. The fire has already been ignited. In January 2026, from Shivteerth, I ignited a spark against the authoritarianism in this country, that has now grown into a raging wildfire. Our struggle continues. Our post from January 2026 remains exactly where it was, and it will stay there. The documentary we shared was produced by others; our sole objective was to ensure it reached the public, a goal that has been achieved. On this occasion, I am bringing our well-researched analysis of this subject back into the spotlight. I am re-sharing a portion of our January 2026 presentation here; please take another look.

Sensational allegations may grab attention, but they cannot replace a proper fact check.
The 3,000 MW Saidongar Karjat pumped storage project in Maharashtra is associated with Torrent Power. Torrent PSH 3 Private Limited is named as the developer in the Centre’s environmental clearance, and the project is intended to improve energy storage and grid stability under an MoU with the Maharashtra Government.
The cited records place the project around 15.5 km from Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary. Forest officials have denied illegal tree felling inside the sanctuary.
Adani Group’s media statement says it has no proposed or ongoing project near Bhimashankar and no connection to the circulating videos. .Protect the environment, investigate the claims and demand evidence before assigning blame.
🚨 Adani Has ZERO Links To Bhimashankar Tree-Felling Row: Official Records Exposes Opposition's Baseless Anti-Adani Narrative!
The 3,000 MW Saidongar–Karjat hydropower project in Maharashtra belongs to Torrent Power. Yet, Adani's name is being dragged in to fuel political outrage.
> The 3,000 MW Saidongar–Karjat hydropower project belongs to Torrent Power, NOT Adani Group.
> The Centre's environmental clearance officially names Torrent PSH 3 Private Limited as the developer.
> The project follows an MoU with the Maharashtra Govt and aims to strengthen energy storage and grid stability.
> Adani has ZERO proposed or ongoing projects in or around Bhimashankar.
> Govt records place the project approximately 15.5 km from Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.
> Forest officials have denied illegal tree felling inside the sanctuary.
> Adani Group has categorically rejected any involvement.

Not every advancement in AI infrastructure is about faster chips or greater computing power. Some progress comes from better resource management.
Google and AdaniConneX are proposing a 1 GW data centre development in Visakhapatnam that will use air based cooling rather than conventional evaporative cooling systems.
The stated freshwater estimate across three sites is less than the volume of one Olympic sized swimming pool. Around 80% would serve landscaping, kitchens and worker facilities.
The proposed water strategy includes industrial supply connections and wastewater treatment and reuse on site, with no treated discharge into Mudasarlova Reservoir.
Its long term success will depend on implementation and measurable results.

Building a 1 GW AI data centre near sensitive water resources demands careful planning, not just advanced technology.
That is why the proposed AdaniConneX and Google project in Visakhapatnam deserves attention. Its planned air based cooling system is designed to reduce dependence on conventional evaporative cooling, while freshwater consumption across three sites is expected to remain below the volume of one Olympic sized swimming pool.
The proposal also includes dedicated industrial water connections, on site wastewater treatment and reuse, and no treated discharge into Mudasarlova Reservoir. Around 80% of freshwater use is expected to support landscaping, kitchens and worker facilities.
AdaniConneX’s Vizag plans underline a key principle for India’s AI growth: expand digital infrastructure while taking local water availability and environmental protection seriously.

Torrent Power says its Karjat project underwent approximately 18 months of statutory procedures before receiving environmental and forest-related clearances.
These included environmental studies, public hearings, expert appraisal and multiple site inspections.
The project wasn't approved overnight.
Opposition leaders are free to scrutinise the process, but dismissing it without examining the records is not serious politics.

The Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga is one of Hinduism's sacred pilgrimage sites. That makes factual accuracy especially important.
Torrent Power has explicitly clarified that no work under its Karjat project is proposed near the temple.
The project is also outside the wildlife sanctuary.
Using the temple's name to spread inaccurate impressions about the project's location is irresponsible.
Swapnil Chaturvedi retweeted
Torrent Power has clarified that its 3,000 MW Karjat project is approximately 16 km from Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Every project component is outside the sanctuary boundary and its Eco-Sensitive Zone.
This is also consistent with the government's environmental clearance.
Those conflating the project site with the protected sanctuary are presenting a misleading picture of the location.

Well said. The opposition's anti-Adani narrative around Bhimashankar is falling apart under the weight of official documents.
Torrent Power has now publicly clarified the project details, confirming the developer identified in government records.
Adani has no established connection to the matter.
Those who were loudest with their accusations should be just as loud with their corrections.
Seems like opposition ecosystem is at war against Adani group and their tool is fake news
Now their new fake news is related to tree-felling for the 3,000 MW Saidongar–Karjat pumped storage project near Bhimashankar in Raigad, Maharashtra
It has drawn local protests, and opposition is linking it to Adani Group
Why that link is false:
1️⃣ The developer is Torrent Power, per official records and its own media release.
2️⃣ Adani has said it has no project in or near Bhimashankar.
3️⃣ The site is ~16 km from Bhimashankar Sanctuary, outside its Eco-Sensitive Zone. No work is planned near the temple.
4️⃣ The project went through ~18 months of statutory approvals.
5️⃣ It covers 233 ha of forest land. Torrent plans 90,000 trees plus 253 ha of compensatory afforestation (these are company commitments, not yet verified).
If the concern is the environment, question the actual developer, its permissions and its compliance. Naming an unrelated company proves nothing. Those who spread the claim should correct it.

Torrent Power has now issued a detailed media release identifying its 3,000 MW Karjat pumped-storage project and explaining its location, approvals and environmental plans.
The government records already named Torrent as the developer.
Adani has ZERO involvement. Those spreading the false connection have no excuse left.

Bihar's Jardalu mangoes are known for their distinctive flavour. Now, the women behind their cultivation are getting opportunities to grow their incomes too.
With support from the Adani Foundation, the Agro Point Farmer Producer Organisation in Pirpainti is helping women farmers improve their skills, strengthen market access and explore better commercial opportunities.
For Sunita Devi, improved training and market access have helped increase family income, supporting household expenses, children's education and savings. That is what meaningful rural development looks like when opportunity reaches the people who need it.

A little more income can mean a child's education is better supported, household expenses become easier to manage and a family can finally put something aside for the future.
That is the human side of the work being supported by the Adani Foundation in Pirpainti, Bihar. Through the Agro Point FPO, women mango farmers are gaining access to better markets and learning scientific cultivation, fruit grading, quality inspection and export standard packaging.
These skills help Bihar's famous Jardalu mangoes meet international market requirements. Sunita Devi says the improved opportunities have raised her family's income, while Manju Devi, an Agro Point director, sees women gaining new paths to entrepreneurship and self reliance. When women have better tools and better market access, the benefits can reach far beyond the orchard.
