Biggest takeaway from Talladega is how unnecessarily complicated and convoluted the sport has become over the past 20 years.
All the rule changes, formats and constant reinvention, all mixed & stacked on top of each other while holding on to what came before.. quite a mess.

Full season championship. I’m tired of this sandbagging and them showing up in the final races.

The Chase was definitely a massive step in the right direction, but I’m sorry, it’s still not enough.
I’m not even a Hamlin fan, but the final ten races arbitrarily carrying more weight than the totality of the season will always feel forced and inauthentic.

The Chase is less gimmicky than the playoffs, but unless Denny has a huge comeback it still produces the same results, an undeserving champion at the highest level of motorsports.

So proud of our Crew chiefs, spotters and analytics team for having the guts to make this stage 1 strategy call at Talladega
TBH- It’s only my job to make suggestions and support them if it went wrong. They get to make the calls and they deserve the credit.
The implication that Austin Hill of all drivers would just suddenly decide “I need to let the 5 somehow come back - even though last time I saw him he was completely shuffled out - and win, let me just fake running out of fuel even though I have no idea if it’ll help” is so funny

I love the idea that Hill puts Larson in the middle, just to get a run on the 47 to win the race and goes “oh shit I have to let the 5 win fuck” and bails. Yall are goofy.
And we still have Martinsville to go...
It's so hard to like any of the drivers or teams I like when people throw out 'race manipulation' allegations towards them like halloween candy

People are being so weird and serious about it. Since when was MPD this serious? People can vote for whoever they want. It makes no sense going after people for voting their favourite driver😭
Do I make the mega doc about why I think strategy and pit stops should be minimized as much as possible in racing?
As the only person I've ever known to have that opinion, I want people to at least understand my view, because I'm not just trying to ragebait or whatever.

“I knew I could do it, given the right opportunity.” 💪
Despite all of the outside noise this past week, @AustinGreen2_ made the most of a one-off race for @SpireMotorsport, finishing third in his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series debut.

Honeycutt, Ruggerio and Annunziata could’ve been a great lineup but no
NEWS: @TRICONGarage announces the remainder of their full-time lineup. @dawsonsutton_ will drive the No. 5, while @sammysmithSS will drive the No. 15 for the team.
