Hey! If you are curious about "song" games, you should check our demo and consider wishlisting us on Steam! @OffScoreProject has seen many years of iteration and development, but I'm happy to say we are almost there and we'll release very soon! store.steampowered.com/app/1…

Around me, I see a lot of people in tech and entertainment feeling a bit down and lost. AI plays a role, but its a general sense of hopelessness and lack of some positive vision of future to strive for. I am wondering if my sample is biased, or if its a bigger general trend.

Even among those tiny parts of the tech industry that are riding the AI wave to riches, I have heard too often that a source of motivation is fear. A sense that we are on a critical junction and whoever doesnt adopt is left behind.

its crazy how far local generation models have gotten. This one is using only open source local models, made on a consumer GPU. Chain together a couple of open source stuff like XAtlas and retopo library, and you get a pretty ok model fully local

I was looking at this today too. Turns out investors dont care much for cars that backflip or go up a wall or accelerate so fast that the driver would pass out. That said, 100 percent prefer whatever Tesla did for a concept car compared to whatever other companies are doing
I don't understand

I think from time to time its great to do cool impractical things that invoke people's imagination and sense of wonder. That car hanging upside down did that for me.

Looking at peoples 9 games, I think most people just want to be teenagers again. I realized there are so many amazing games I have played over the years, but nothing beats the late nights in counter strike, or that first vespa in vice city.

Walkabout mini golf is one of my favourite games of all time, and chatting with its creator Lucas is always fun! In this dev chat we talked about the game, its development and Lucas' background.

Time to wrap this one up. I put it on my sketchfab for whoever wants to view it. I remeshed the scene here and cleaned up here and there. Set the texture quality to HD for highest resolution. skfb.ly/pNURQ

One of the reasons why after programing for years in C++ I don't feel comfortable in C# like before. Somehow, by "taking care of" memory it leads to me having to think more about memory in C#. Keeping implicit language rules in mind, whereas in C/C++ its just explicit
I dislike languages that magically decide how my data is passed to functions using arcane rules. In C/C++ pass by value is always the default. You can explicitly define it for each function parameter: Pointer, reference, const reference, etc.

how bad can astras output be? Why is there a hidden cat and a bench in a platform? All of these are easy to fix and productivity wise still worth it but man fixing these are no fun at all. It sucks as a task. If this is the future of game dev, I might look for a different job 😅

People get in creative industries because they enjoy creating. At least I did, there is so little joy in trying to figure out wtf is this one axis construct and how to best clean it up to something that makes sense
