One church member offered to donate ₦500,000 to buy 10 standing fans for our church.
Early last month, he noticed that people were uncomfortable during church services because everyone kept fanning themselves with handkerchiefs.
So, he went to our WhatsApp group and announced that he would send ₦500,000 to the church account to buy 10 standing fans.
Everyone was happy and started praying that God would bless him.
Our pastor replied, "Our church has outgrown fans. God said you are capable of providing air conditioners."
For the past three weeks, the group has remained silent.
Yesterday evening, our pastor posted, "We don't serve a poor God. Give, and you shall receive."
Just this morning, the man left the group.

Years ago my uncle bought some standing fans for that newly built Winners at VGC at the time. They had just started using the place, no ACs yet and he noticed it was hot af so bought some OX fans.
I happened to follow him to deliver it and was helping him couple the fans outside during their tarry night or something, a wretched, hungry looking church worker walked past, saw what we were doing and said "oh standing fan, we have passed the level of fan it's AC we should be talking about" or something
I lost my fucking shit fam. I actually asked this woman, "which one have you donated" she proudly said none, but she's just saying the church has passed fan level. I can't remember much of the rest. I wan crase. I was insulting this woman with my life, at the top of my voice, with service going on. Told her she was going to continue suffering till she died and God won't do shit. She remained smug and apologetic. My uncle was just begging me and telling me to pipe down. He had never seen me like that. I had never seen myself like that either. Shame wan k1ll am. Na him them sabi for the church. It's other people that came to separate us.
