Club 85 is here to stay 🎉
A huge well done to Bob and the whole team at Club 85 who make this much loved music venue a real Hitchin institution 👏
With their future now secure, here’s to many more years of fantastic gigs and events 🍻

With so many relying on buses across our towns and villages, I’m delighted @andyburnham is capping fares at £2 from 2027 ✅
Along with extending franchising into rural communities, this action is vital to ensuring affordable, regular bus services we can all rely on 🚌

What a fantastic result. After such difficult results in May, it’s great to win again and show how, and that we can, beat Reform in communities like Makerfield.
There’s much to digest. A huge thank you to @AndyBurnhamGM his team led by Louise Haigh & @anneliese_midge , Labour staff, all have been amazing, and to our entire movement who came together and showed the best of us.

It’s vital that SEND reforms work for communities like ours in Hitchin.
From record uplifts in funding for specialist provision to crucial investment in therapeutic support we’ve made some big steps forward.
Great to chat to @bphillipsonMP today about what more is now needed ✅

3 wins on the bounce. Just 3 points off the playoffs. This team… wow.
What a game that was. Whether we make it or not, you can’t help but feel proud of this group. So many standout performances it’s hard to pick just a few. Kabby will grab the headlines with the goals, but Slicker’s saves in the first half were massive. Shelton covered every inch of the pitch, and Tavares was unreal.
And the fans absolutely class. What a day all around.
Now we go again. Onto Gillingham.

Just over 4 years ago, Dean Brennan’s Barnet lost 6-1 to Notts County.
Today, we’ve beaten Notts County 2-1 in their own backyard to keep alive our push for League One.
I hope you enjoyed that one, Lloyd. Wherever you are. 🧡

Britain, and the world, are facing climate and nature crises.
The ways in which we tackle them should always be up for debate and challenge.
But stepping back from a united goal of taking climate change seriously is a big step backwards for the Conservatives and our country.
On this sad day @AngelaRayner I will always remember and thank you for your wonderful and kind tribute to my dear friend Judi Billing. I know how much it was appreciated by @zoefolbigg and all Judi's family. I do hope we will see you back in Government very soon. My best wishes. – at Hitchin, England

Football is in our country’s DNA. It means so much to so many of us.
That’s why I’m proud that today we deliver on our promise to fans as the landmark Football Governance Act becomes law.
Protecting clubs across the country and giving fans more say in how they are run.
Ian Albert for Hitchin North retweeted
Our Football Governance Act puts fans first.
It’s for supporters in Macclesfield, Wigan, Bury, Bolton, Derby, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Morecambe - and every club where fans were put last when they should’ve come first.
Today is their win.
Totally agree with @Downhill2ndHalf - really need to hear your view @Dan4Barnet on what has not been the Council’s finest hour! But let's never forget the role of Barnet Conservatives, who were instrumental in making @BarnetFC move from the Borough in the first place.
This is utterly scandalous. Please re-share the below article and make this widely known.
@Dan4Barnet when are you going to break your silence on this farce? Lie after lie from those in @BarnetCouncil - an appalling abuse of power.

Wow what a mess @BarnetCouncil @BarryJohnRawlin.
Last week you claimed you had suggested “three or four sites” to @BarnetFC as possible alternatives for a new stadium and were “waiting for a response”.
Your planning committee voted on that basis on Monday - indeed it formed a big part of the discussions.
Now, with the only viable proposal on the table rejected, you admit you hadn’t suggested any alternative sites at all. Please do explain?
