I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore.Ā Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me.
The ājokeā was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is.Ā So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11Ā takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link.Ā My caption: āIām literally shaking.ā
Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, āDoes this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?ā I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow.Ā Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists.

Everyone agrees the twice-a-year clock change is ridiculous.
But if weāre making one time permanent, why choose the one that most sleep and circadian experts donāt recommend?
Permanent standard time aligns better with our biology because morning sunlight is what sets our internal clocks. Permanent Daylight Saving Time means darker winter mornings, later body clocks, and more circadian disruption. This would be another disaster for American health. Itās probably too late to stop this but switch this to permanent Standard time instead!!!!

During your convention my dog got murdered by an unleashed bully breed fake service dog in the lobby of your Anchorage location.
Immediate follow up needed:
1. The dog and owner were not removed from the hotel following the 9/25 attack. The staff did not communicate even to each other what happened. When we checked out yesterday I told the staff our dog died overnight in the veterinary hospital and they had no idea what I was talking about. The person working the desk two days later was unaware a violent attack occurred and both parties were still in the building. I asked the staff who witnessed the attack about this problem as I didnāt want my children murdered or my other dog mauled and she assured me from now on that other dog would be leashed.
2. The person appears to be a known figure. She is known to your staff. The front desk who was present when the unleashed dog attacked my dog said they ānever saw him do that beforeā. Perhaps thatās why he had free wandering privileges to the lobby.
3. Both myself AND ANIMAL CONTROL have been told the mysterious management figure who can provide the footage of this attack is not available at work on weekends. Someone in a position of authority at your business needs to watch what happened to my dog. Today. Quickly. You can also watch my dog deteriorate over the two days until early am 9/27 when we had to use a luggage cart to get him to the hospital again before he died. If you watch the attack happen yourselves you will understand how outrageous it was to keep this dog on the property and to not have any internal process to communicate this among staff. It was violent and clearly unprovoked.
4. The person casually roaming the lobby with an unleashed pit on what appears to be a fake service dog vest has a history of contact and removals for other dogs with violent attack records with APD. I recommend you follow up. She appears to be a known figure in your hotel. Two days after the attack APD had to go back to your hotel to obtain the attacking animal after mine died.
I have been told that I should stop communicating so openly about this and become litigious. I want action and safety for your guests. I do not care about anything else. This may not be a widespread problem. It is a problem here. Step in. And no they didnāt comp a damn thing I paid over $1,400 for the pleasure of watching my dog get mauled at check in and then die. Rooms 315 and 316.
Three days. Countless conversations. One incredible My Place community. ā¤ļøš“š
Thank you to everyone who joined us, spoke, sponsored and made #MyPlaceCon 2026 unforgettable.
If you missed this one... you wonāt want to make that mistake twice. š

If you're entering college or know someone who is, PLEASE know that a degree doesn't magically grant you a job (and it hasn't for a long time)
At a minimum, you should have some form of professional experience every summer, working your way up, like:
Freshman year - 10 hours a week at an unpaid internship that will teach you office skills, 30 hours a week at whatever job pays (landscaping, lifeguarding, etc.). On your resume, only list the unpaid internship for that summer, let people assume it was more than 10 hours (but obvs be honest if they ask).
During Freshman year, get some campus leadership roles, TA-type positions, and things like that as applicable. Put yourself out there, people should know you!
Sophomore year - Try to get into a more serious internship, likely also unpaid (sorry) unless you're in STEM or business/finance. This one should be more of a name brand that people in your region would know. Supplement with other work as needed like you did last year.
During your sophomore and junior years, also take on projects for professors and departments. This spreads out the people who can be references and gives you broader experience to reference in interviews.
Junior year - start networking for this EARLY, like a year+ early, it is the main one that matters. Ideally this will be paid, but the most important part is that it's somewhere that could hire you/a strong enough brand that it could get you hired elsewhere.
Senior year - the ideal situation is a return offer from your junior year placement. If not, rotational programs, analyst programs, and the like are your friend (and typically involve very early applications)
None of this is set in stone, but the main thing you need to avoid is an empty resume by senior year
That is how a lot of people are entering the job market and it is absolutely brutal

The "iced coffee to an interview" thing is such a good case study in Gen Z not being able to pick their battles
Everything has to be some dramatic example of oppression or ableism or "corporate overlords" instead of...just the way things are
You don't wear white to someone else's wedding, you leave a tip when it's customary to do so, these are just social conventions that make you not look rude
An iced coffee doesn't matter that much to you as the interviewee. You will survive going 1 hour without an Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso
But it COULD matter to the person interviewing you. Why risk it? Why die on that hill?
You may think it's a poor proxy for professionalism, you may think a good employer wouldn't care
But if someone tells you "Hey, this is not universally acceptable, it could risk your success," and you insist on doing it to make a point, that's your own dang fault

Taylor Swift isn't an outlier for going wild over "that's my husband." Wives who rate their husbands as more masculine happier & far less likely to be considering divorce.
āļø 74% of wives w/ more masculine husbands are "very happy" in their marriage vs. 69% of wives w/ less masculine husbands.
āļø 64% say divorce is "not at all likely" vs. 45% for less masculine husbands.

~Todayās adults increasingly behave like the children they never have~ feels like a rude thing to say about people. And yet:
āToy sales among adult-only households have now outpaced households with children for toy sales, growing 16% through June, equivalent to 55% of total toy industry receiptsā¦.
āTogether, teens and adults generated nearly 60% of the industryās incremental dollar gainsā

Iāve seen the stupid Sydney Sweeney ad. I donāt like it, but largely because I donāt like graphically sexualized or nudity-displaying ads anyway. Never will, I donāt care whose āsideā someone is supposed to be on.
But I donāt understand why female athletes are suddenly up in arms. This wasnāt an ad for womenās sports or even sports at all, it was an ad for a sports betting company primarily used by straight men.
So I get why women in general might be annoyed, but Iām not seeing where female athletes have some particular gripe or how this silly thing āsets womenās sports back decades.ā
