My new favorite hobby is walking around Times Square, bargaining with illegal street vendors, then asking them their citizenship status to see how quickly they forget how to speak English🤣
It’s a FELONY "falsely and willfully" represent yourself as a citizen of the United States.
And they’re taught very well not to cross that line.
ICE could sweep this place easily, but DHS leadership won’t allow it.

To quote a coworker of mine: “They love horses so much, they never want to see them again.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker’s Office complained about the 10,000 phone calls they’d gotten about carriage horses, as if that matters more than facts. (In today’s world, it does.)
Replying to @PeterMoskos
It doesn't make sense to end horses in the park, but it will make some people feel better to not see horses there. This is basically how American politics works now in general. Forget about having a reasonable discussion, just make the most vocal group feel good.

“On at least three occasions since July, two of the people who spoke to POLITICO said, the mayor’s games disrupted training sessions for recruit groups that typically number in the low hundreds.”

THE NEW YORK TIMES SHOULDN'T DIMINISH SARITHA KOMATIREDDY'S TALENT
“For much of their one-hour debate, Saritha Komatireddy, the long-shot Republican challenger to Letitia James, New York’s attorney general, seemed to be punching above her weight.”
This framing is condescending and dismissive.
Saritha Komatireddy wasn't “punching above her weight.” She was demonstrating who she is. Her performance shouldn't be treated as some unexpected departure from what she's capable of.
The debate also gave New Yorkers an opportunity to see Letitia James answer questions and defend her record.
Watch the debate. Listen to both candidates. Judge for yourself.

Walking to work in NYC: At 13th & 5th, @CitiBikeNYC rider runs a red light while on his phone, nearly hitting us. At 14th, an e-biker cuts us off and races down the sidewalk. At 12th, a cargo bike weaves around dogs and a baby carriage on the sidewalk, then doubles back. NUTS!
Streets for people
Dyckman — nothing new. Just more violence in NYC. Just a typical day — but “criME Is DoWn” thanks @KathyHochul and @NYCMayor
