Wait, after all these racist attacks on Abdul, it's Mike Rogers who has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood!? That's wild, man.
Mike Rogers acknowledges that in 2012 he was indeed willing to work with the Muslim Brotherhood but says that he was doing it in defense of Israel and its relationship to Egypt.

One of Lula’s most important and least well-known achievements is US capacity to sanction it into compliance is limited, because unlike Europe, Brazilians don’t need Visa or Mastercard to make payments.

- didn't come across like a nursing home patient when he debated flavio twice - had jair arrested and convicted to 27 years in prison for insurrection instead of dicking around with merrick garland - called Israel's assault on gaza "genocide" instead of sending 14000 2k lbs bombs
If Lula wins tonight it means we should have kept Biden in 24

In the end, Brazil really did teach the United States a lesson. They jailed the fascist, and then they defeated his political heir.

wow -- a squirming Mike Rogers gets flustered as Kristen Welker points out that while he attacks El-Sayed over the Muslim Brotherhood, *Rogers himself* defended the Muslim Brotherhood during the same period of time that El-Sayed did!

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red. Let’s break that down. Can Nicki Minaj vote? No. She’s not a U.S. citizen. Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender. Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault. She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

Mark my words this entire Brazilian election is preamble and prequel to what voter tampering, and mass communication distortion, could look like in the U.S.
Power cables intentionally cut at a voting station in Fortaleza, the only state capital to elect a mayor from Lula’s party in the 2024 election. Voting continued as normal thanks to backup battery. Power shortages were also reported at an overseas voting station in Washington DC.

Y’all. We are literally witnessing a coup attempt going on live in Brazil. Bolsonaro is losing the election badly, so his people in state and local leadership are grounding flights, canceling public transportation going to Lula strongholds. Massive voter suppression. Supreme Court had to intervene to mandate 2hrs extra at the polls. Mixed reports on how many polling stations are respecting the ruling. Whew!

This is a coup attempt. They’re turning off traffic lights and canceling bus routes and flights and ferries on election day. The world needs to be paying attention
Multiple cities in Brazil including São Paulo and Salvador which both went for Lula in the first round are reporting having significant parts of their public transport system taken offline as part of vote suppression tactics by pro Bolsonaro politicians

I read the book and never understood why they didn’t make this story Godfather III or a prequel I get why it doesn’t fit into II and would add another 30 mins to it but its such a good story That said, the book also has one absolutely bizarre subplot about Sonny’s mistress
In The Godfather, while Clemenza is teaching Michael how to use the gun he’ll kill Sollozzo with, he tells him that the murder will probably start a war. “These gotta happen every five years or so. Ten years… been ten years since the last one.” However, the film never explains what that previous war was or why it took place. But Mario Puzo’s original novel does - in great detail. And it’s essentially the missing chapter explaining how Vito Corleone went from being the neighbourhood Don of Little Italy to one of the most powerful Mafia bosses in all of America. By the end of Part II, Vito is a “man of respect” in his neighbourhood, and he leverages that reputation to further grow his olive oil business. He uses his “formidable powers of persuasion” to buy out his competitors and establish a monopoly on the olive oil business in New York City. He has warehouses, trucks, and a highly efficient distribution network. When Prohibition comes into law, Vito repurposes many of these assets into an incredibly lucrative bootlegging operation. During this period he restructures his organization into a formal crime family, with Genco as his consigliere, Clemenza as caporegime of the Bronx, Tessio controlling Brooklyn, and the men working under them as soldiers. He also builds an invaluable network of police and political contacts, which would serve him for years to come. However, when Prohibition comes to an end, Vito needs to pivot to another criminal enterprise to keep his organization afloat. He reaches out to Salvatore Maranzano, who controlled all gambling activity in Manhattan. Maranzano was based on the real mafia boss of the same name, one of the most powerful crime figures in New York City’s history. Vito proposes a partnership. He would offer his political connections to protect Maranzano’s businesses and help him expand into Brooklyn and the Bronx; in exchange, Vito would receive a share of the gambling profits. Maranzano “spurned the Corleone offer with contempt...” He took it as an insult, and Vito as a threat that needed to be stamped out. Maranzano had a much bigger, more powerful organization built through union-busting and extortion rackets, and strong ties to the most infamous gangster in the country, Al Capone in Chicago. “Maranzano’s refusal touched off the great war of 1933 which was to change the whole structure of the underworld in New York City.” (1/2)

Abdul Sayed has never supported Islamism or advocated for any kind of violence. But here’s Eli Lake wearing a tshirt of Menachem Begin who led a Zionist militant group that bombed the King David Hotel, killing almost one hundred people.
Does the left understand how ridiculous it looks to claim anti-Sayed Democrats are more loyal to Israel than America, while simultaneously claiming that any inquiry into El-Sayed’s very real links to the Muslim Brotherhood is an unwarranted attack on his patriotism?

Bill is so bitchmade he gonna be speaking at CPAC gigs soon enough
Bill Maher RAVES about President Trump’s true side that he saw during both White House dinners admitting he’s very “sane,” “energetic,” and it’s like talking to a guy at a bar.
“[POTUS is] just so imperious when he's out of the White House, and when he's there, the total opposite. He never pulls rank. No matter how flippant I get, he never goes, ‘How dare you say that in the White House?’ I mean, I can talk to him just like I talk to any guy at a bar, and he does sound like a guy at a bar. Well, he does. But he just— he seems to like go in and out.” “There are so many moments where he gets it. Like I said to him, ‘When you said the Supreme Court, they're voting against me.’ You know, that's not how the Supreme Court is supposed to work. Right. It's not about they're not voting for or against you. You appoint them, and then they make decisions. And he went, ‘Yeah, I took that one too personal.’” “See what I mean? He gets it, and then he doesn't get it. Now, I'm an optimist. I prefer to think of the president as half sane.” Karoline Leavitt: “He's very sane. He's a lot more sane than the last one. OK, we had a mental patient.” Bill Maher: “He's far more energetic… He says like at the dinner table, it's amazing. We have a nice conversation. He goes, ‘You're my enemy. Pass the peas.’”
