Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day! TBT to a blog post I wrote a little while ago about designing for people at the worst and best moments of their lives. Designing with this in mind should help to create further inclusive services and experiences. charleypoth.medium.com/desig…

Today, a judicial review ruled that *for now* the UK wont have equal passports for trans and non-binary people. Yes it's a huge blow to trans people. No it wont make headline news because JKAY wont tweet about it. pinknews.co.uk/2021/12/15/x-… BUT....

Here's what happens when you post a photo with no alt text on Twitter, because I think some of you don't understand what I have to do in response. First, it depends on what device I'm looking at it. 1/

Anyone out in SD land looking for a Senior Service Designer & happy to transfer my sponsorship for the right fit? I absolutely love working in a team on complex problems. Lots of lovely jobs going atm I can’t apply for because employers won’t sponsor. Disheartening. RTs welcome!

It should never be a privilege to use a service. There is never an excuse to exclude people. Complicated journeys for people with accessibility needs does not mean it's accessible. Requiring people to have a lot of time and patients does not mean it's accessible.

Earlier this week I got to spend time with the brilliant @pipedrive team exploring ways we can make products and services more #inclusive, easier to use and enjoyable for all. Thanks for having me! Shout if you or your organisation would find something like this useful.
