“create versatility” at practice - so that we can make tough plays as well as dominate the routine play & make plays most players don’t make look easy #defend

Spring training fundamentals: you see big leaguers taking ground balls to work on timing, posture, their angles. But most importantly the eyes with the catch. Very similar to a receiver seeing the ball into his secure position. When the game speeds up the fundamentals take over.

✅ where the ball is meeting your glove.. best place is the POCKET 👊 if the “glove position and timing” are right then it will hit right in the 🎯 pocket. Control the ball and set yourself up to throw.

All the greats talk about practice should be harder/tougher than the games…. use it for everything you do as an infielder and within a day you’ll see the difference. Challenge yourself in the most simplest form without being told anything 🤷♂️. #playoffs #worldseries @souljaboy

Glove presentation is preached in the infield but remember that glove presentation is a key piece in receiving as a catcher. The Libke Pro works great for catcher's to use during their drills. They can do receiving, blocking and of course catch n throw drills!

Infielders in sync as pitch is approaching contact zone. Low hop & landing before contact to create momentum. Notice the balanced athletic landing with knees & elbows bent & thumbs pointing up.(Gun slinger position)
