Happy Passover to Jewish Londoners and everyone celebrating. Last week I joined ZSV in Stamford Hill - supporting over 1,400 families with essential food parcels, helping families celebrate with dignity. Thank you to London’s Jewish communities for all you do for our city.

Thank you for visiting our Hatzola base today. It was a privilege to welcome you and share the vital work of our volunteers. We are grateful for your support and your strong stance against antisemitism.
The Jewish community is our community - in London, people of all faiths and none should be able to live peacefully alongside each other. I was humbled to visit Hatzola ambulance service today. We stand together against antisemitic hatred - we’ll always reject those who seek to divide us.

In the wake of the attack in Golders Green overnight, Chief Executive Michael Wegier met the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, Health Secretary of State Wes Streeting and Communities Secretary Steve Reed, together with communal partners and local MPs. They discussed concrete steps to safeguard the Jewish community and accelerate government action to tackle antisemitism. Picture by Lauren Hurley / No 10 Downing Street

For decades, Hatzola has provided a vital, life-saving service to Londoners. I was in Stamford Hill yesterday with @SadiqKhan, @CaroWoodley and @PerayAhmet to stand with their volunteers. There can be no place for antisemitism in our city — we stand with our Jewish communities.

This is a deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.  My thoughts are with the Jewish community who are waking up this morning to this horrific news.  Antisemitism has no place in our society.  Anyone with any information must come forward to the police.
We are investigating an antisemitic arson attack on Jewish ambulances in Golders Green. We know this will cause significant concern in the local community and are stepping up patrols and engaging with faith leaders. Read more here: mynewsdesk.com/uk/metpoliceu…

We are deeply saddened and shocked by the senseless attack in the early hours of this morning at the Hatzola Northwest ambulance base.   Hatzola NW, along with all Hatzola organisations, provides life-saving services without discrimination, regardless of faith or background. It is extremely distressing and difficult to comprehend that such a vital service could be targeted and attacked in such a way.
We are working closely with the police and relevant support agencies to ensure the safety and security of our premises and resources, so that we can continue to respond swiftly to emergencies.

Yesterday I joined the Jewish Community Council of Gateshead for a discussion and a walk round Bensham. We stand with them in this time of grief and will work together to root out antisemitism from our society. Every community must be safe in Britain.

👥 Last night @Shomrim welcomed Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp MP @CPhilpOfficial to Stamford Hill. 🛡️ He heard first-hand from volunteers about their tireless efforts to keep the community safe. 🎥 The Shadow Home Secretary also viewed footage of horrific antisemitic assaults and discussed the rise in Antisemitism 🙏 Thank you to @InterlinkFDN and local councillors from @HackneyCouncil for their support.

I was thrilled to attend the Shomrim Emergency Services Open Day yesterday on Clapton Common. This year's event was bigger and better than in previous years, offering an afternoon filled with community engagement, safety, and exciting demonstrations from the Hackney Community Safety Partnership. Over a thousand young people and children participated, enjoying showcases from the @hackneycouncil Civil Protection Team, Enforcement Officers, Tackling Hate Crime team, the Police, London Fire's and Rescue Service, the London Ambulance Service, and our hosts, Shomrim. A big thank you to all the participants and the Shomrim Executive for organising such a wonderful event, especially to my dear friend and community leader, @RabbiHerschelGluck As the Cabinet Member for Community Safety in Hackney, this event is one of my annual highlights, showcasing how partners can work together to keep the community safe. I’m grateful for the strong community support and teamwork that ensures our safety in Hackney. Thank you to Hackney politicians and everyone who helped make the event a success! 🚓🚑🚒 Excited about my ribbon cutting with Rabbi Gluck to unveil the new addition to Shomrim vehicles. #CommunityStronger #SafeCommunityIsARealCommunity @Shomrim @MPSHackney @LondonFire @hackneycouncil

There’s a big difference between Eton College and Darul Hadis Latifiah. Yet both schools have been hit with the same level of #VAT. Something this Islamic faith school tells me is “unfair” and a Jewish #school says could lead to its closure. itv.com/news/2025-01-03/fait…
