$MSFT rose 24.9% in the ten sessions after July's AI selloff trigger. It reports again on Oct 28, five days from now.
That is the test July handed us. The selloff did not end on its own.
It ended when Microsoft and Amazon posted cloud growth and earnings power alongside their capex.
Here is next week's calendar. Microsoft and Alphabet $GOOGL report Oct 28, and Amazon $AMZN reports Oct 29.
Apple $AAPL follows on Nov 2, $AMD on Nov 3, and $NVDA is expected in mid-November. The Fed also meets next week.
What the market wants to hear is specific. Azure growth guided around 45% in constant currency, up from 43% last quarter.
Google Cloud consensus sits near 89% growth, with BofA at 93%. AWS grew 37% last quarter, its fastest in 18 quarters.
Capex is the risk on the other side. Alphabet's 2026 spend is tracking around $200B, and BofA has floated $300B for 2027.
In July a $15B raise, paired with negative free cash flow, cost $GOOGL 7.1% in a day even with Cloud growing 82%.
Microsoft is the name with the cleanest setup. Its Quantum Score on TradeSmith sits at 93.7 with a Technical Score of 95.4.
It has also held TradeSmith's Health Green zone since the July reversal. Going into a print, that is the profile you want.
The July sequence was simple: beats sold for a week, then two blowouts flipped the tape.
If next week brings cloud acceleration, the pattern repeats. If it brings capex without the growth to justify it, July has no map for that outcome.
Which print matters most to you next week, $MSFT, $GOOGL, or $AMZN?

I told InvestorPlace analyst Jeff Remsburg a 5% drop in the Nasdaq wouldn’t surprise me.
He asked what I’d do if it happened.
“Back up the truck and let’s buy.”
Not everything, though. I’ve got a short list, and today I’m sharing it here:

$GSG is up 63% over the past year and just hit a new one-year high.
While most investors were glued to interest rates and AI, a broad commodity bull market kept grinding higher.
The iShares S&P GSCI Commodity-Indexed Trust $GSG holds futures on crude oil, natural gas, gold, copper, wheat and livestock. It is weighted by global production, so energy carries the most weight.
Rising oil has done most of the lifting. Our calls in oil, gold, copper and pipelines over the past 18 months have paid off as this trend built.
The long-term case is about people. Roughly 5 billion people live far below the living standards of the U.S., Canada, Japan and Germany, many in India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Africa.
As they get wealthier, they buy homes, cars, appliances and better food. All of it takes energy, copper and steel.
Even a modest bump in consumption across billions of people is a huge new source of demand. Mines and energy projects take years to build, so supply can lag and keep prices elevated.
The market agrees. Two other commodity funds, $HGER and $SDCI, show nearly identical price action.
TradeSmith's long-term Health indicator has $GSG in the Green Zone, confirming the uptrend.
Big demographic and economic trends tend to run five years or more. This one looks like it has room to go.

CoreWeave $CRWV lost 25.8% last week, the worst in the Nasdaq 100, and its 2032 notes now yield more than 15%.
Pull back and the problem is bigger than one company. Barclays counts about $80 billion of data center bonds sold so far in 2026, and roughly $37 billion of it is rated junk.
Last year the junk total was $8.6 billion. The average yield on those junk data center bonds is now nearly 10%.
CoreWeave is the stress test. Roughly $4 billion of its corporate debt trades below 80 cents on the dollar.
Its five-year credit default swaps hit a record 1,194.5 basis points this week. Total debt including leases is about $52 billion, against a $104 billion backlog.
Jensen Huang said this week that CoreWeave does not need Nvidia to backstop it, and Nvidia owns about 10% of the company. The backlog is real. So is the coupon.
TradeSmith's VQ puts CoreWeave's normal volatility near 86%. If you know how to use the VQ, you'd know that's not useful and makes this one of the most volatile stocks out there.

Eli Lilly $LLY has returned 49.7% over the past year.
Behind that move is one of the fastest-growing drug categories in history. GLP-1 weight-loss drugs generated roughly $55 billion in sales over the past 12 months, according to IQVIA.
Lilly sits at the center of it. The company posted 48% quarterly sales growth, a pace most large-cap pharma names can only dream of.
Demand for its Mounjaro treatment jumped 91%. That is not a niche launch, that is a product reshaping an entire category.
This is the Boomer healthcare theme in one stock. An aging, health-focused population is pouring money into treatments that help people live longer and better, and GLP-1 drugs have become the headline act.
TradeSmith's Quantum Score on $LLY sits at 72, with a Fundamental Score of 83. The numbers say the underlying business strength is real, not just momentum.
The risk is expectations. When a stock runs this hard on a hot category, the bar for each earnings report keeps rising.
But the demographic and demand backdrop here is about as strong as it gets in pharma.
Is $LLY still a buy at these levels, or has the GLP-1 trade gotten crowded?
