Glad to be with Ronny Robertson and the Alabama National Alumni Association this weekend. It’s an unbelievable honor for both of us. Being chosen as the 2026 Bear Bryant Alumni Athlete award winner means the world to me and my family. Thank you to all who helped me with this, particularly Mandy Wyatt for nominating me.
The South Florida Bulls football team finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 9–4 and a 6–2 mark in the American Athletic Conference. How will their coach and many of these same players fare in the SEC at Auburn this season?

My most sincere thank you to the Alabama Broadcasters Association for inducting me into the Alabama Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
The secret to whatever success I have had is really quite simple.
I have been surrounded by true Hall of Famers my entire life.
From my initial introduction to — and immediate fascination with — radio because of my old friend James Spann… to collecting championship rings alongside Eli Gold and Chris Stewart… my broadcasting life has been, and continues to be, the ride of a lifetime.
And through every chapter of that ride, I have somehow been fortunate enough to have some of the very best in the business beside me… teaching me, encouraging me, putting up with me, and, more often than not, making me look a whole lot better than I really was.
So I am especially thankful for the Hall of Famers and legends who were on hand to once again prop me up.
Thank you James Spann, Eli Gold, Tom Roberts, Dave Baird, Tony Giles, Pam Huff, Jimmy Carter, Barry Copeland, Gene Copeland, and Jim Carabin for being there…
