US Treasury Moves to Cut MEXC Global Off From US Financial System Over $16B in Illicit Transactions
The US Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has issued an order prohibiting US financial institutions from processing funds transfers to or from crypto exchange MEXC Global. FinCEN said MEXC facilitated at least $16 billion in transactions linked to sanctions evasion, cybercrime, and other illicit activities between May 2021 and May 2026, including nearly $1.5 billion tied to Russian sanctions evasion and approximately $1 billion in direct transactions with Iranian crypto exchanges. FinCEN cited severe deficiencies in MEXC's anti-money laundering controls. The order will take effect 30 days after publication in the Federal Register.

Clearly demand hasn’t cooled.
I guess the question is was it overvalued or are they going to bounce.
South Korea's exports just surged 93.7%, marking their strongest annual growth since 1974.
New trade data released today shows that exports reached a massive $115.3 billion in October, driven by extraordinary demand for semiconductors and technology infrastructure.
Here's the breakdown:
• Total exports: $115.3B (+93.7% YoY)
• Semiconductor exports: $56.4B (+259.4%)
• Computer exports: +496.6%
• Total imports: $72.8B (+36%)
• Trade surplus: $42.5B
They've already exported approximately $930 billion worth of goods in the first ten months of 2026, leaving it just $70 billion away from becoming the fourth country in history to reach $1 trillion in annual exports, joining the U.S., China, and Germany.
South Korea's performance offers a striking example of how global demand for computing infrastructure is reshaping international trade, with semiconductor manufacturers becoming an increasingly important driver of economic growth.
I find it funny that US politicians talk about debt when the country is paying a trillion a year in interest and dwarfs any country or entity in debt
