The Nairobi–Mombasa Road Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project has reached a significant development milestone, with KeNHA inviting Expressions of Interest for Feasibility Study and Transaction Advisory Services, financed by the World Bank under the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project. This marks an important step in undertaking the rigorous technical, financial, commercial and transaction work required to structure a bankable PPP and prepare the project for competitive private sector participation. The procurement builds on our engagements with the @WorldBankGroup during the Spring Meetings in April, where the PPP Directorate secured project preparation support to advance this strategic corridor. It is encouraging to see those engagements translate into tangible progress, strengthening the rigour of project preparation and mobilising the transaction expertise required to structure the Nairobi–Mombasa Road PPP Project for successful market engagement. We look forward to working closely with KeNHA and the World Bank as we take this project through the next stages of preparation and transaction structuring, towards mobilizing private capital for the delivery of this critical national transport corridor.

The Board of Directors of the @NSE_PLC wishes to notify its shareholders and the public of changes in the leadership of the Board. The changes follow the conclusion of the term of the Board Chairman and a review of the Board’s composition in line with the Exchange’s commitment to strong governance, independence and long-term institutional oversight. the Effective 13 July 2026, Mr. Tom Mulwa has been appointed Chairman of the NSE Board, succeeding Mr. Kiprono Kittony, EBS, who retires as Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director effective 12 July 2026 following six years of distinguished leadership. During Mr. Kittony's tenure, the NSE recorded significant milestones, including ending an eleven-year IPO drought, introducing innovative products to expand retail investor participation, and driving the implementation of the Exchange's ambitious 2025–2029 strategy. His leadership also saw the NSE emerge as one of Africa's top-performing exchanges. The Board warmly welcomes Mr. Mulwa and looks forward to his leadership as the Exchange builds on this strong foundation to deepen Kenya's capital markets, broaden investor participation and create long-term value for shareholders and the economy.

One of the highlights for me in the construction of the Ngong Road/Naivasha Road flyover is that it has been delivered a whole 12 months ahead. The project was initially set for completion in July 2027 according to @KURAroads. This should be the standard for delivery on key gigs

Parliament has approved the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA), a major milestone in strengthening our digital security architecture under the leadership of H.E President William Samoei Ruto. The autonomous body will coordinate national cybersecurity efforts, safeguard critical information infrastructure and respond to emerging threats such as ransomware attacks, data breaches and misinformation campaigns. Operating under the State Corporations Act and guided by a multi-sectoral board drawn from security, finance, justice and intelligence institutions, the agency will oversee national cybersecurity strategy, manage the National Cybersecurity Operations Centre, audit critical systems and establish a Centre of Excellence to build advanced digital security skills. The NCSA will also enhance collaboration between government, industry, academia and international partners, ensuring our growing digital economy remains secure, robust and trusted.

Across Africa, countries are stepping up investments in strengthening the foundations of a more resilient future. #AfricaResponds #HealthSecurity
"Our future depends first on us." The reduction in global health funding has accelerated an important shift: greater domestic investment in health security across Africa. The DRC is committing at least US$50 million to the current Ebola response. Uganda is making similar investments. Africa is investing in its own health security. 🎥 Full Press Briefing: ow.ly/BSYl50Z5S8b #HealthSecurity #AfricaResponds @AfricaCDC
