Looking at the season-level numbers a couple things jump out: ▫️Very predictable w/ our personnel ▫️Worse on predictable White tendencies: Light Box, MOFC, Zone, & No-Blitz ▫️DBs are getting absolutely CRUSHED by opposing WRs

SCAR had been good against the run game, so I'm not too surprised by that result. But the 11 personnel usage, esp w/ VB3 out is baffling to me. Surprised we didn't see more 12 to help pass pro. Non-sack dropback numbers look solid xitter.cf/JBudDavis/status/21081…

What I'm Watching: Florida OFF vs SCAR DEF ▫️Gators passing game advantage ▫️Deep & Wide Tgts seem like the biggest UF win areas ▫️SCAR good against RB runs, esp inside & zone ▫️SCAR defense looks susceptible to PA & QB Run game

Using my TopRStats app for another scatterplot: X: How often does a team create an explosive play during a drive? Y: and when it does, how often does that drive end in a touchdown? Florida has separated themselves. Then, bottom right quadrant is real interesting.

what could be more American than a multi-ethnic crowd of college students...wearing cowboy hats and burnt orange, cheering a huge college football win? That's the America I love, no doubt about it. Football is for everybody. get this racist bullshit all the way out of here.
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

NEW CHART 📊 Wide Receiver Targets and Efficiency Small sample size. This will be more descriptive as the season develops. Names will bounce in and out. For now, Malachi Toney's 18 yards per target on 13 targets really pops. Shout out to VB3 #GoGators

Bending the ball around guys while sidestepping rushers.
This throw by Aaron Philo to keep the ball away from the dropping linebacker and put it in this box was insane

I've attempted to quantify the effect of this tactic. 1. since there are tvs at both ends of the stadium I assumed that every visitor kick received the treatment. 2. I gave the effect a prior Normal(0, 0.25)
Much has been made of the Patriots’ mysterious “Pink Stripes.” How about yellow ones? I went through more than a decade of TV broadcasts and uncovered a diabolically clever piece of Patriots gamesmanship. When opposing kickers lined up at Gillette Stadium, the video board displayed a reverse view of the kick, placing a second, offset set of yellow uprights directly behind the real ones. In windy conditions, even the orange streamers on the video board appeared to point in the opposite direction from those atop the physical uprights, making the illusion even more disorienting. I found dozens of examples. In the same games, I reviewed 52 Patriots field goal attempts. The illusion appeared on Patriots kicks exactly zero times. We actually tried copying the idea when I was in Philadelphia, but the location of the video boards at Lincoln Financial Field made it nearly useless. It is the perfect encapsulation of the Patriots dynasty. No detail was too small, and no possible edge was left unexplored. We talked about this tactic and more on tonight’s episode of the Paganetti and Underhill show, out now on Youtube

Billy Napier was so bad that our QB thought God had neglected him.
“God’s got you,” DJ Lagway’s mom told him during a trying season at Florida. “Momma,” he replied back, “I think God forgot about me.” DJ’s back home now at Baylor. And perhaps that’s all he needed to be the prized, 5-star prospect everyone expected. bit.ly/4xCGopa

Which actually leads to a new signal from the Combine I haven't seen many discuss... If a player posts a bad performance it now tells you some signal about their: - Quality of Advisor/Agent - Training Habit Professionalism - Self-Reflection Capabilities
