History does not repeat, but the imperial playbook never changes. In 2015, Ashraf Ghani stood before the US Congress not as an Afghan leader, but as a World Bank liquidator. He begged for the "generosity of the American taxpayer," promised to open his country to US corporations, and rebranded imperial extraction as "self-reliance." Six years later, as his imperial-backed ghost army evaporated, Ghani fled in a helicopter to the UAE. The very taxpayer money he begged for was stuffed into his bags to fund his exile. He played the victim while the empire moved on to its next target. Fast forward to Brazil. The Bolsonaro dynasty just ran the exact same comprador playbook. Jair Bolsonaro begged Washington for backing, promising to privatize Petrobras and hand over Brazil's rare earth minerals to US government-linked corporations. His sons waved foreign flags at their rallies, treating Brasília like a regional office for the US empire. When the Brazilian working class rejected this extractivist neo-colony and voted for sovereignty, the so-called "patriots" did not stay to defend their homeland. Jair fled to Florida after his coup attempt failed. Eduardo moved to the US and started seeking American citizenship while publicly begging Donald Trump to send the Marines to invade his own country. And now, Flavio Bolsonaro is fleeing to the United States to join them, escaping justice after the courts seized his passport. Watch them go on Western media and claim they are victims of "political persecution." Watch them demand sanctions against the sovereign government of Brazil. But the material reality is undeniable. The empire does not fund nationalists in the Global South. It funds liquidators. It installs managers to strip-mine sovereign nations, and when the locals finally take back the keys, the managers flee to the master's house. Ghani took the cash. The Bolsonaros are taking the flight. You can beg the empire for an invasion. You can flee to Florida when the people vote you out. But you cannot sell a nation that belongs to the workers who built it.

Imagine spending 66 years under an embargo imposed by a country 90 miles away that has tried to assassinate your head of state over 600 times. And then being lectured by that country about democracy. Cuba has survived this. Cuba is still there. The lecture continues.
The Castro regime has profited at the expense of the Cuban people with luxury cars, expensive watches and a private island resort. As I shared this with the world, regime thugs rushed the stage to interrupt my speech. They can intimidate their own people in Cuba but think again about trying that nonsense in the United States of America.

The most honest statement ever made about Cuba policy came from a State Department memo in 1960, written before the sanctions were fully implemented. The memo, written by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Lester Mallory, stated that the U.S. should pursue a policy to bring about hunger, desperation, and overthrow of the Cuban government. Not: respond to "Cuban repression." Not: protect Cuban human rights. Not: promote democracy. Hunger. Desperation. Overthrow. This memo is declassified. It is in the historical record. It is not disputed. It means that every subsequent year of sanctions, every subsequent citation of Cuban poverty and dysfunction as evidence of socialist failure, every subsequent American official expressing concern for the welfare of the Cuban people: All of it happened downstream of a documented decision to deliberately produce hunger and desperation in that population. This is not a conspiracy theory. It is a declassified government document. The conspiracy was the policy. The theory was written in plain English by an American official in 1960 and has been implemented faithfully for 66 years since. What they wanted to prove, they engineered the conditions to prove. And then they called it evidence.

Lula victory wasn't "fear of lost benefits", it was the loss of the entire nation to the enforcer of the "Donroe Doctrine" The Wall Street Journal looks at 64 million Brazilians rejecting a US-backed oligarchic dynasty and calls it "fear of lost benefits." This is pure imperial mindset. They reduce a sovereign nation's fight for its very survival into a petty dispute over welfare checks. What they actually mean is that the Brazilian working class understood exactly what was coming. They knew the empire was coming to strip the social wage, extract their critical minerals, and turn Latin America's giant back into an obedient vassal state.

Let me tell you that for any international public figure who has business and public connection with China, three Chinese political figures are untouchable. 1st, Mao Zedong. We Europeans are all told by many political narratives particularly left from cold war time, Mao is a "dictator that murdered millions of people" . Such narrative only looked Mao's mistakes in his decision-making in his later period (he exercised those bad decision however often due to his illusion that CPC members as whole do not treat people well anymore thus he mistakenly call people to rebel, which ended into total anarchy and loss in every dimension). However, heavily neglecting his enormous positive contributions to mankind especially to the Chinese. He is the real key person that prevent Chinese nation from falling into abyss with outstand private virtue. To most Chinese, respecting chairman Mao is not a choice but a faith passed through generations. 2nd, Xi. The taboo of offending Xi is much from the political institutional reasons. The operating of Chinese society, unlike the west, requires the leadership dignity to maintain respected, as important signals for the functionality of the whole party and its ruling in China. Belittling and mocking Chinese leaders, signaling a challenge against this governing legitimacy thus receives painful penalty. Definitely many west-valued people dont understand it and even dispose it. But if anyone wants to have positive connections with China this is something worth very serious learning. 3rd. Sun-yet Sen. Sun is another China-savor character whom even Mao Zedong needs to pay respects to. He stood up in China's most dangerous time to launch revolution, building the republic and offering the modern civilization to the Chinese. He was well-known as the founding father of modern China and dedicated his whole life into liberation of Chinese people. For Chinese, he is another faith symbol that shall not be insulted – at Republic of Korea

🇺🇸🇬🇧 How Winston Churchill sold the American population on starting the Cold War: After World War 2 victory, the US’ capitalist class viewed the Soviet Union as a threat, and the arms manufacturers were already salivating at the thought of a Cold War with the Soviet Union to continue profiteering off of the arms industry. The problem? Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union were popular in the United States after the USSR’s instrumental role in the defeat of Nazi Germany, and the sacrifice of 27 million Soviet lives. In August 1945, 54% of Americans trusted the Soviet Union to cooperate with the United States. Americans referred to Stalin as ‘Uncle Joe’ and had fond memories of his cooperation with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt during the war. The US’ expanding security state and elites knew that the mediocrity that was Harry Truman could not convince the American people that they now had to view the Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin as an enemy, even Harry Truman himself knew this. The answer was to wheel in Winston Churchill, who had been resoundingly defeated in the 1945 UK general election with the arrival of Clement Attlee’s first Labour government. As the British Empire was crumbling from bankruptcy and rebellion in the colonies against British rule, the US leadership recognised that Winston Churchill commanded more respect than Truman to sell the American population on confrontation with the Soviet Union. On the 5th of March 1945, Harry Truman brought Winston Churchill onto the stage in Fulton, Missouri, for a speech to be broadcast to the nation. This was Churchill’s ‘Iron Curtain’ speech, framing the Soviet Union as a growing threat, abandoning any goodwill from the shared victory in WW2 and any hopes of peaceful cooperation. With the Marshall Plan being readied to turn crumbling European empires into vassals, Churchill provided the US population the justification to start a global military empire and continue Europe’s barbarism and looting in the global south in the name of ‘fighting Soviet communism’. Winston Churchill had played his part as the cigar-smoking, top hat-wearing, charismatic war hero, to transition the world from European empires to the US’ ruthless global empire. The only thing standing in the way of complete dominance was the Soviet Union.
🇬🇧🇺🇸 Prof. Richard Wolff: ‘Winston Churchill was the US’ FRONT MAN for the transition from European colonialism to the unipolar US empire.’ ‘Winston Churchill was the public relations character. He could be the hero with the cigar, and the top hat, and all the rest of it, to make the transition from a European-based colonial system to a unipolar moment. Not unipolar only in the government, but unipolar in the much more global empire sense of that term. He was a transition, performing his act alongside that of General de Gaulle, who had another role to play in the same transition.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇 @profwolff

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov🇷🇺: ‘Over the past 500 years, all tragedies in the world originated in Europe or occurred owing to European policies: colonisation, the Crusades, the Crimean War, Napoleon, WW1, Hitler…’ After 300 years of slaughtering the peoples of the world and plundering the wealth of the global south to build the cities of Europe… Their empires crumbled in 1945. Since then, all they have had to offer the world is neocolonialism, uncritical vassalage to the United States, and now face being an afterthought and an irrelevance. Instead of recognising a new world exists where neocolonialism will not be tolerated, and prioritising economic rejuvenation via engagement with the rising powers of the 21st Century… Europe instead decides to invest its remaining and dwindling fortunes into the military-industrial complex to fight a war against Russia which none of their populations are remotely interested in…while the rest of the civilised world invests in trade and development. Europe had a last chance to look to the future, and instead violently jerked their heads 180 degrees back to the past.
Prof. Richard Wolff: ‘The only solution for Europe’s decline to re-orient themselves to the rest of the world. The only European country to have done that is RUSSIA🇷🇺.’ ‘World Wars One and Two were the culmination of European colonialism, in which the leading colonial powers slaughtered each other on a spectacular level that the world had never seen before or since, luckily speaking. But that was the end of all of those empires. Only one survived: the United States, protected by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and by the limits of air power at that time, they came through. You know, Russia lost 27 million people in World War II. The United States death count: 400,000. No comparison between these two. The last 70 years have been the uni-empire. The United States inherited, benefited from, and consolidated, and became the global empire. With all the wealth that had been siphoned out of the so-called Global South to Europe, now going instead, here to the United States. The United States gave a portion of that back to Europe, a kind of debt, if you like, of having inherited all that empire, all that wealth, but they never gave the empire back to the Europeans, so they lost it, and now they’re losing what little bit they held on to, and it’s over. And the question is, can military Keynesianism replace the fantastic transfer of wealth in the 17th, 18th, and 19th century into the 20th? And my answer is no. There is no way that that domestic program can do for England or for Europe, all the colonial powers, what they lost. The only way to do that, ironically, would be for European countries to understand the need to reorient themselves to the rest of the world, and there’s only one country in Europe that has done that, and that’s Russia.’ Full interview in the quoted post 👇 @profwolff

Lula's reelection in Brazil is not just a domestic victory. It is the single biggest geopolitical defeat the US empire has suffered in Latin America in decades. Here is what was actually at stake: The Resources: Brazil holds the world's second-largest rare earth reserves — nearly a quarter of the global supply. The US military-industrial complex is desperate for these minerals to break its dependence on China. The Bolsonaro dynasty was ready to hand them over. A US government-linked company already bought Brazil's only active rare earth mine from Bolsonaro-aligned oligarchs for $2.8 billion. They wanted Petrobras privatized next. Lula said no. These are our minerals. We will build our own economy. Palestine: Lula lost a finger in a factory at 17. He is the working class. The Bolsonaros are the landlords, the oligarchs, and the cheerleaders of settler colonialism. They waved Israeli flags at their rallies. They held Zoom calls with Netanyahu on stage. They posed with a map of Israel colonizing ALL of historic Palestine — Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan Heights. Lula stands with Palestine and calls the genocide what it is. The Multipolar World: Lula co-founded BRICS. He is building parallel financial systems to bypass the weaponized US dollar. He called for a new global reserve currency. He wants Latin America to trade in its own currency, free from Washington's sanctions. The empire cannot tolerate a continent that refuses to pay rent in dollars. So how did Washington respond to a sovereign democratic choice? Trump slapped Brazil with 50% tariffs — even though the US has a trade SURPLUS with Brazil. The tariffs were never economic. They were punishment. Meta censored Lula's accounts and boosted Bolsonaro. The Bolsonaro campaign hired a US AI company to spread disinformation. Eduardo Bolsonaro literally called on Trump to send the US military to attack the Brazilian government. They threw everything at him. Tariffs. Censorship. Disinformation. Coup attempts. And they still lost. The American empire tried to enforce the Monroe Doctrine with algorithms, tariffs, and a puppet dynasty. But the Brazilian working class just voted to keep their minerals, defend Palestine, and build a world where Washington doesn't get to decide who eats. You can tariff the economy. You can censor the candidate. You can beg for a military coup. But you cannot colonize a people who have already decided they belong to themselves.

It feels like madness from the outside, but it is actually cold, structural necessity. The West cannot "live peacefully" because its entire economic model is fundamentally dependent on extraction and hegemony. Peaceful, equitable coexistence would trigger the immediate collapse of their system. Consider the material reality: 1️⃣ The Dollar Premium: The US economy survives by printing the global reserve currency, allowing it to export inflation and fund massive deficits. If the world trades in local currencies, that privilege vanishes, and the US debt bubble implodes. 2️⃣ The Imperial Subsidy: Western living standards and corporate profit margins are artificially propped up by cheap resources, energy, and labor extracted from the Global South. Equitable trade destroys that subsidy. 3️⃣ The War Economy: The US military-industrial complex requires perpetual conflict to justify its trillion-dollar budgets and keep weapons manufacturers profitable. Peace is literally bad for their GDP. They aren’t choosing domination out of random malice. They are choosing it because their system cannot survive without a victim. The "madness" isn't that they are destroying themselves; the madness is believing a parasite can survive once the host learns how to say no.
Replying to @MisbahQasemi
Why they have to dominate is beyond me why can’t the west live peacefully with the rest of the world ? It’s madness they’re destroying themselves and as usual blaming others

The conflict with Iran is not about nuclear weapons. It never was. It is a clash between two entirely different views of existence. The empire sees the world as dead matter to be extracted, priced, and dominated. Everything has a number. Every nation has a price. Submit to the ledger, or be destroyed. Iran sees the world as something with purpose, destiny, and meaning beyond the balance sheet. A civilization 2,500 years old that refuses to kneel before a spreadsheet. That is why sanctions don't work. You cannot starve a civilization into submission when it does not worship your god. And the West's only god is the dollar. The empire demands compliance. It wants Russia compliant, Iran compliant, Ansarallah compliant. Because these are the nations that looked at the "rules-based order" and said: No. We will build our own. But here is the part the ruling class cannot admit: The money is gone. - The US now pays more in debt interest than its entire defense budget. - Europe is closing hospital beds and cutting school funding to find another €155 billion for Zelensky. - The working class is told to accept "short-term pain" while the financial elite post record profits. The empire is trying to fight 21st-century wars with a bankrupt checkbook. So what does a ruling class do when it can no longer buy compliance, and can no longer enforce it? It panics. In the UK, the government is telling citizens to stockpile tinned food and water, blaming "Russian sabotage" for its own collapse. In Washington, they refuse to even speak to Putin about actual security. Instead they send envoys offering "reconstruction funds" as bribes, completely ignoring that sovereign civilizations demand security, not charity. They cannot accept that they are no longer the head of the world. So they will use the threat of World War III to distract you from the fact that the hospitals are closing, the debt is unpayable, and the empire is broke. They are preparing you for war because they cannot survive the peace of a multipolar world.

#UkraineRussiaWar

Let’s be real. Obama dropped more than 26,000 bombs in a single year, 2016 alone, across seven countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria and Yemen. He expanded the drone war to roughly ten times what Bush ran. He did more for military industrial complex profits than almost anyone who campaigned on peace. And Iran was the last name on the Wesley Clark memo: seven countries in five years, Iraq first, Iran last, with the Clean Break doctrine written for Netanyahu setting the table years before. But here’s the reality underneath it. War in Iran and Ukraine transfers wealth to bondholders, oil producers and refiners, from everyone who consumes energy and everyone who pays interest on debt. That’s the financial industrial complex. The FIC. The technical industrial complex, the TIC, gets to justify a police and surveillance state at home off the back of the unrest, while field-testing new killing technology abroad. The US, UK, EU and Israeli stock markets get a stimulus. Governments become more subordinate to their lobbies through debt. And the resulting inflation gets socialised onto you. War is a wealth transfer. It also drives liquidity into the bond market, which props up the backing of the world’s reserve currency. In my view, that’s why Obama and Trump both end up at war. Not left versus right, but the same complexes behind both of them. Israel is a military industrial complex node, an MIC with a state of its own. And right now, it’s privatising it: floating its state defence giants, IAI and Rafael, on the stock market at valuations inflated by two years of war. The MIC is being absorbed into the FIC, cashing in the war premium, live on the Tel Aviv exchange. War is a racket. And when the Middle East runs out of road, the MIC needs a new revenue stream. Which is why the war narratives are now escalating towards Europe, Latin America and a security state across the collective West. Left and right are tools for real power. As the power map shifts across BRICS, SCO, ASEAN and GCC, war becomes the tool for negotiating a new world order in a struggle between multiple nodes of power. In my opinion, it’s not WW3. It’s a renegotiation. And burning your attention on culture war and identity politics is exactly how you’re kept from noticing who’s transferring your wealth and raising your prices. It’s how the system was designed. You’re just seeing it more clearly now because the MIC is bringing its covert warfare apparatus home and manufacturing the unrest here. Don’t be a useful idiot in another election cycle of lies that changes none of it.
