May not be ’trait’ related. If you live in E SK or MB and have lodged canola, you can send samples for verticillium stripe testing (free for canola assn members). There is no immediate fix. Check plant counts and N fert rates this fall. 🤷♀️
Finally a good #harvest26 day to thresh #canola, unfortunately it’s lodged now and fair bit shelled out. 333 worst by far, 356 and 340 held better but lodged worse. Anyone else seeing similar traits? @Bayer

Different Liberty formulations here in Manitoba but same message. Don’t just apply a herbicide. Apply proven herbicides AND apply them well. #MBAg

Special Crops tailgate talks are so much fun and we plan to keep these field events really casual and informative. Great opportunity for new special crops farmers to meet with seasoned farmers to learn as well!
Catching up after being away last week. Always love this 👇🌽🫶. Some crazy good yields in 2024 - congrats to all the corn farmers who made the list. And to the ones we keep trying to convince… @rpbrunel 😝

Great to hear from growers at @SaskWheat's Coffee Shop Talk in Davidson yesterday. One topic was mowing kochia - suggested timing is at or before flowering to prevent HR pollen movement. If you've not seen them flowering, here are a few images to show the flowers as reference.
