There's a fantasy in Italy and Spain that Germany's TARGET2 claims aren't real. They're very real. They're subsidized loans from Germany that finance a standard of living in Italy and Spain that's artificially and unsustainably high. The AfD will end this. robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/…

Imagine a Melbourne where you can finish work on a hot summer's day, head down to the Birrarung Yarra and jump straight in. Victorians used to swim in the Birrarung Yarra. There's absolutely no reason why we can't again. Paris even did it in the Seine - we could do it here too!

Big news. Woodside walks away from Greater Sunrise. Sells its 33% stake to Timor's state-owned oil and gas company Timor Gap for around $280 million AUD. Timor Gap will have full control of the asset after the sale. Some big questions looming now for Dili (and for Canberra)
