There is no need to go through the stupidest ritual of modern life next weekend. More daylight is coming this month without the foolishness of changing our clocks. @SaveStandard Time!
Brighter days ahead! ☀️ Northern areas, including Seattle, gain over 100 minutes of daylight in March! While daylight saving time begins on March 8, the month's biggest change is the rapid increase in daylight. bit.ly/4snpLeq

Today marks the most absurd ritual of modern life. Standard Time (@SaveStandard) is HONEST TIME. The other time is just the government lying to you to make you wake up an hour earlier. Make noon -- noon again!
ICYMI, we recorded this morning’s “fall back”. Let’s ditch DST and stay on Standard Time permanently now!

Tip for Claude Duet (trial) on Windows: Create your own Duet app. In Edge, open claude.ai/messages, then Menu > Apps > Install_this_site_as_an_app. Duet gets its own window, own taskbar button icon; separate from the browser tabs. One click to my chief of staff. @claudeai

I gave @claudeai-Duet one job: be my Chief of Staff. One Duet holds every KY River hydro project I do. I make the calls. It writes prompts & passes hands-on work (books, inbox, filing) to executor sessions in the claude app that report back. @AnthropicAI built me a staff.
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

This is what AI holds real promise in correcting: put the humans back to doing human things (like teaching) and put the machines doing the administrative work.
How bad is administrative bloat in higher ed? At MIT, the “student body has grown by 8% and its faculty by 9% since the mid-1980s. By comparison, the tally of administrators jumped by 189%.”

Very disappointed with @Uber whilst traveling in Scandinavia & the Baltics. None of our 6 normal payment methods would work for any member of my family, and ultimately had to give up and book via a newly-downloaded eastern European competitor.

That settles it, we need a law to quit changing the clocks. Actually we just need to repeal the law that began this nonsense.
Which of these best describes your opinion on whether we should keep changing the clocks twice per year? If you want to quit changing the clocks, do you have a preference of which time to settle on?

It is about time we rid ourselves of the clock-changing madness. Dumb to lie to ourselves about what time it actually is. @SaveStandard time!

"...a little..." (storage) is doing FAR too much work in that tweet.
But nuclear?! Solar is nuclear, dummy. Just happens to be far-field nuclear: Cheap, abundant, simple and quick to turn on and when you combine it with a little storage, it’s always-on.

If possible and true, this is some very good news.
We found a way to expand passenger rail across America without laying a single track. Dreamstar Lines uses underutilized freight capacity to run passenger trains across thousands of miles of existing rail infrastructure We’ve secured a memorandum of understanding with Union Pacific to operate on the LA -> SF corridor one of the highest-demand rail routes in the country, with plans for this route to launch service on the eve of the 2028 Olympics. This is just the beginning. We plan to expand these partnerships across the most important corridors in America. In just a decade, Americans will have a well deserved alternative to flying or driving in the medium distance. Once and for all we will Make Trains Great Again.
