A thread about "process over results":
A while back I had thought that this meant that results didn't matter or to never think of results. That, if results never come, it's okay cause the process is the only thing that matters.
At the end of the day, results do matter. (1/7)

Look at the comments and quotes from byu fans.. I’ve always taught our kids to behave in a manner that brings people in your corner, not cheering against you and man Dev optimizes this!
Love our QB1!!
Dampier on the rivalry game:
"Man, I'm very happy the way this environment is about to play out. Just us being able to earn being No. 3, for them to be able to earn being No. 7 in the country. I mean, just as a state of Utah, this is such a significant game. So happy just the way both teams are performing to make the game what it is."
On what he learned from playing in last year's rivalry game:
"It means a lot to the state, no doubt. I think the whole entire offseason I couldn't go anywhere without hearing about this game at some point. So I understand what this means to the state for sure."

Morgan Scalley had a great answer to a question about the religious, cultural and proximity aspects of the Utah-BYU rivalry:
"Yeah, I think you can find that in any rivalry. And yes, you have a predominant religion as part of one school, but I think we make too much of that.
"There are young men playing on both teams that aren't LDS and there are fans that aren't LDS. They're fans and they're players. At the end of the day, does God care who wins this game? No. Does he care about people? Yeah.
"And so I think we can be better to each other in that realm. But definitely, like I said, the proximity, how close we are, and family members having gone to both schools, the whole family draw is what can make it so good."

NLCS MVP Jake Bauers shares how letting go of results helped him find a different level of freedom as a competitor.
"I think what changed for me this year was I stopped caring about results. I started caring about competing. I started caring about being in the moment and getting out of my own way."
Sometimes, the biggest obstacle to performing at your best isn't a lack of preparation or ability.
It's the pressure you place on yourself to produce a particular outcome.
You become so concerned with what you want to happen that you lose touch with what the moment actually requires.
Any performer can unlock a new level when they learn how to be fully invested in the competition without becoming imprisoned by the outcome.

From the frames, Greathouse does have a hand on the BYU defender’s arm/wrist amid the mutual grappling. That contact restricts free movement for both players and can make a clean turn harder. Still, the defender’s body and arm position primarily limits the receiver’s path while his head stays mostly on Greathouse rather than locating the ball, which is why most analysts viewed it as DPI.
Listen to Bregman talk about what could cause the highest level hitter in the world and then apply that to youth baseball… these kids are growing and their bodies are evolving almost daily; hard to be consistently good and not go through slumps at some point.
