My name is Kristin Song. On January 31, 2018, my son Ethan was shot in the head in his best friend's house. The father/gun owner stored 3 handguns and ammunition in a shoebox. Ethan's friend had been accessing the guns for over 6 months. At the hospital, the ER doctor slid down the wall, put his head in his hands, and whispered, "Your son is gone." At that instant, all I knew, loved and trusted was imploded into a million tiny pieces. I begged to say goodbye to my beautiful boy. I wanted to kiss his forehead, tell him how cherished he was, and tuck him in one last time. But the doctor begged me to remember Ethan as he was, you see, he was unrecognizable even to my eyes. The day before Thanksgiving in 2018, the prosecutor told me she would not charge the negligent gun owner, and if I wanted negligent gun owners to be held accountable, I would have to change the law. So I did. 6 months later, Connecticut passed Ethan's Law, which requires gun owners to secure their weapons if children can gain access. Then, I learned that so many states stood silent on this issue, so in 2019, I turned my attention to passing Ethan's Law nationally. I met with over 400 congressional offices, 130 of them Republican. In 2022, Ethan's Law was passed in the House of Representatives as part of the Safer Communities Act. Sadly, it was not picked up in the final package. When the Democrats lost the House of Representatives in 2023, I pivoted to passing safe gun storage laws in the States. As a result, Michigan, New Mexico, and Maryland passed safe storage laws. Currently, I am working with 5 states to pass Ethan's Law. I am emotionally and mentally exhausted, but I will not stop until there is a cultural shift in this country where it becomes second nature to secure your weapons around unsupervised children. If you believe in protecting children from gun violence, please follow and repost.

Whoever designed the @Boeing @BoeingAirplanes 777 luggage racks should be fired. Most regulation carryons won’t fit longways so have to be put sideways. Basically room for 1.5 bags for every 3 customers. @united should be ashamed of their boarding process.

It took over an hour and a half of complete mayhem to load this jet and take off @united you need to redo your boarding process. Get rid of faux incentives of some people getting on first. Load from the back of the plane with someone policing / helping with luggage storing – at Humble, TX

I gave @AppleTV ‘s #invasion a shot. After hoping for 9 episodes that it would get better, I’m abandoning it. Small plot that is dragged on for hours and hours of nothingness. I wanted to like it but the negatives outweigh any positives 🤷🏽‍♂️ – at Houston, TX

I turned 41 this year, and here's some honest, tough-love advice for people in their 20s. 1: If you have a comfortable job, you're doing it wrong. 2: Your designer degree from an overpriced university is overrated for 99.99% of career fields.

Neerja Bhanot was a flight attendant on Pan Am Flight 73 when it was hijacked in Pakistan by Palestinian terrorists on September 5, 1986. She helped the pilots escape, saved American passengers from execution, and opened the emergency door so hundreds could jump to safety. Ultimately, she was killed while shielding three children from gunfire. Twenty-two-year-old Indian air hostess Neerja Bhanot was always a woman of courage and convictions. Despite the traditions of her culture and her family's protests, she left her arranged marriage when her husband proved abusive. Then she struck out on her own and began working as both a model and a flight attendant for Pan Am. But shortly after she began her new career in the skies, disaster struck when a flight she was working was hijacked by four terrorists in 1986. Though she was new to the job, she proved to be the greatest hero of the entire ordeal. Over the course of 17 harrowing hours, she helped both the pilots and hundreds of passengers to escape. In the end, she was killed while using her body to protect three children from gunfire. Bhanot was posthumously awarded medals of bravery from India, Pakistan, and the United States. And one of the children she saved grew up to be a pilot himself and credited Bhanot for his decision.
