I’ve written an update on what is happening with our bTB for @FarmersGuardian.
I hope everyone understands a bit more after reading this and that @APHAgovuk change the way that they are dealing with it, as we cannot keep going as are.

Today is the day we have been waiting for! Well, actually it's tomorrow, because that's when Strickley Dairy milk will be available to buy ☺️
A van load of bottles to the @boothscountry warehouse today, ready for distribution to all their stores, what a great feeling!

Strickley milk tastes delicious! Also, I love the design details on the label, an homage to the girls who do the real work!
It's going to be a weekend of custard for my milk refusenik husband (he worked in a dairy as a vacation job & it swore him off drinking milk) #BuyLocal – at Kendal, England

Contrary to the opinions of some naturalists, some farms are balancing food production & habitat creation 💚
• 1 organic grass & Dairy Shorthorns
• 2 natural fly control before milking
• 3 No cows- no bat food!
• 4 Juv kingfisher on our beck
Cows heading for milking and a soundtrack of lesser whitethroat calling.
They love our big thick scrubby hedges, which make up the boundaries on our farm.
Blackcaps, tree sparrows and lots more too!
Long rotation hedgelaying, creates perfect rotational scrub habitat 💚
A moment by Danny’s Beck, a short new watercourse off St Sunday’s Beck, created by Danny Teasdale from @UllswaterCic June 2021 to help alleviate flooding downstream, whilst also creating wet woodland, a rare and valuable habitat.
We are always up for having a laik for nature 😊
April 2020 to April 2026
This is land that we bought 8 yr ago, the hedges were in an awful state, so we reshaped the hedge bank, coppiced off the few stocks that were growing, then planted a mix of hawthorn, hazel, blackthorn & holly, plus oak & hornbeam trees.
Reet grand eh 😊
First night out for the ladies. Busily converting Brant Strickley grass (brant dialect for steep) to organic milk.
Never the easiest place to farm, but it’s a bonny spot 💚
Changing Seasons, Challenging Weather and a Glorious Spring Turnout 💚
