Love this from #Illini head coach Brad Underwood - asked if he has any issue/finds it unfair to have to play Houston IN Houston in the Sweet 16.
"I could care less... I'm an old JUCO ball coach. I drove on 16 passenger fans. I drove from Dodge City, Kansas to Mesa, Arizona for a basketball game... If you had told me back then that I'm getting to coach basketball in the Sweet 16 and play Houston - I would sign up for it, I would crawl to get there."
Says regardless of where the game is, Illinois would/will need to play well to beat the Cougars.

I came to Tokyo to deliver for my country and I will always show up for the United States. I am honored to stand on this 200m podium again, bringing home Silver for the second time🥈🇺🇸
This year asked a lot of me and I always answered. I kept showing up, trusting the plan and giving it my all. Last night I ran through the line with everything in me and I am proud of what I put down on that track.

The NCAA has announced that they are expanding the 2025 NCAA D1 XC Championship fields for both the men and the women by one team, each.
The cross country national meet previously allowed 31 men's teams and 31 women's teams to qualify.
However, a total of 32 men's teams and 32 women's teams will now advance to the 2025 NCAA XC Championships.
The press release did not specify whether or not the number of accepted teams to the cross country national meet will remain at 32 teams in the future.
This is the first time that the NCAA XC Championship field size has expanded since 1988.
Per the NCAA press release, "Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Oversight Committee members feel adding a 32nd team will elevate the championship competition and student-athlete experience, while being comfortably accommodated on the championship courses where the competitions are held.
The move will increase the field size per gender from 255 to 262 total runners."
