A prime example of knuckleheads who use the bully pulpit of social media to spread inaccuracies.

Bob Uecker was a classic, and one of the funniest people that I’ve ever heard talk baseball!!
Christian Yelich told me that every spring he’d block off 4-5 hours for a dinner with Bob Uecker to hear his stories. So as the Brewers prepare to play in the World Series, Yelich has found himself thinking about his close friend. “He would have loved getting to experience this postseason run and being here for it,” Yelich said. “In a lot of ways, we feel like he’s still here with us.” fansided.com/mlb/brewers-wor…

CAS overturns suspension in ABP case of Japanese race walker Koki Ikeda (2021 Olympic silver medalist). I can't remember many ABP cases getting successfully overturned on appeal. Norah Jeruto's did. Any others I'm missing?

CAS OVERTURNS AIU'S 4-YEAR BAN ON KOKI IKEDA Japan's Koki Ikeda 🇯🇵 has been cleared of an anti-doping rule violation by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), overturning his 4-year ban and making him eligible to compete again. The Tokyo Olympic 20km Race Walk Silver medallist was sanctioned by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) in February 2025 over alleged blood manipulation based on abnormalities in his Athlete Biological Passport. However, CAS found that there was a reasonable non-doping explanation for the findings, concluding that the anti-doping charge had not been established. Ikeda's four-year sanction has been overturned, clearing the way for his return to competition.

What a game! Jacob made @Brewers fans so proud!!
Jacob Misiorowski's first pitch tonight was the fastest recorded pitch ever thrown by a starting pitcher in a World Series game. The old record was 101.1 MPH. Misiorowski's pitch was 103.5 MPH!

Arch Jelley, the coach of Sir John Walker, has died. RIP. He was 104.
From John Walker: Today I lost my coach, my role model, my inspiration and my friend. RIP Arch...until we meet again. Thinking of Jean, Su, Martin, Rocky and families and his many athletes and friends. It is a sad day for all. Arch was one of a kind and will be so badly missed.

I recall having a conversation with Kathy Butler about how much money she lost to an EPO using an athlete who got off on a technicality. This was a few years ago, but I remember it. Cheaters steal money from legitimate athletes. Stealing is a crime, and that is how it should be treated.
Replying to @stevemagness
Think of what this did to careers of her competitors. For the Americans: Moly Seidel should have gotten an Olympic silver and a NYC bronze. Susanna Sullivan should have won World Champ bronze. These people steal moments, money, and careers.

Great to see the Golden tickets for the #BrooksXC! The problem is, golden tickets won't encourage the average high school runner to compete in one of the #BrooksXCregional races! Go to brooksrunning.com for links to the 4 regionals. These races feature iconic courses, and #RunBlogRun encourages coaches to bring their entire teams to these events. What a fun way to end your season!
Elle Dawson Accepts A Golden Ticket 🎫✅ 🚨 After a couple of strong finishes to start the 2026 XC Season, Elle Dawson has accepted a Fleet Feet Golden Ticket to compete at the 2026 Brooks XC Championships. She is ranked sixth in the COROS MIleSplit 50 Rankings. Dawson will look to represent North Carolina and the South Region in San Deigo! Watch the 2026 #BrooksXC Championship LIVE on FloTrack on December 12 and make sure you register for your respective region! #brooksxc | @brooksrunning

One wonders what the Women's marathon record truly is! Look at how many women have been busted who ran 2:16 or under! I believe it is 2:12-2:14. Truth is, AIU is busting more cheaters, especially in Kenya. I suspect that testing needs to pick up in Ethiopia. It is obviously not the shoes that make a difference, but EPO, which still seems to be the drug of choice. In 2014, I broke the news about #RitaJeptoo, who was about to take a big check from #WorldMarathonMajors. Until the punishments are so draconian (all money returned to sponsors and races) and the shame of being named a cheater, we will continue to see these posts nearly every day. @aiu_athletics is doing a better job, but big-time cheaters persist? Where do you think the women's world record for the marathon is, and by that I mean non-dopers? Do we go back to Paula Radcliffe's WR and start all over? This takes away legitimacy from women's elite marathoning. It damages the sport and terrifies sponsors. What do you think?

What a fantastic game! The @brewers are so old-school, a team that actually acts like a team, with a manager who is the spirit animal of Red Schoendist (St. Louis Cardinals) and Leo Durocher (you know who he coaches). God, I love the Brewers!
Those Milwaukee Brewers just keep winning ❕❕❕ #WinOurWay

I haven't enjoyed a baseball game like this in a long time! Go @Brewers ! Sitting in our fave pub, #Paddys, in Fort Atkinson, WI, enjoying two teams giving it their all, plus fish and chips and a couple of adult beverages with my Love Goddess and her granddaughter. What a night! On to game 2.

More info on Peres Jeochirchir.
Peres Jepchirchir has won the Olympic, World Champs, Boston, NYC, and London marathons. An insane record... She just tested positive for EPO. She essentially stole at least $1.5 million in prize money alone in her career. Much more in appearance and sponsorship.

BBC Sport approached @number10gov for a response to my letter to @andyburnham . The @DHSCgovuk responded and unfortunately this statement isn’t anything we didn’t already know. There are also fundamental inaccuracies within it. Please also bear with me; I’ve had an extremely large amount of messages and I’m operating with a very limited capacity. @Ed_Miliband @tessamunt @JoPlattLeigh @KatieFalkingham @BBCSport @BBCNews @UKLabour @ThereForME_UK @YvetteCooperMP

So, that’s the 2016 and 2020 women’s @Olympics marathon gold medallists from Kenya busted for doping. Plus the women’s marathon world record holder, also from Kenya. Yet, we keep getting told by @WorldAthletics that the country is getting on top of the problem. It doesn’t look like that from I am sitting. @athletics_kenya @OlympicsKenyaKE @wada_ama @iocmedia
