Good news for the little guy! In our RADx work assessing SARS-CoV-2 tests for @NIH @NIBIBgov, we found that the best performing (analytical sensitivity/specificity) diagnostics were developed by small (<200 people) companies, not the giant ones, which has regulatory implications
The need for new test verification and regulatory support for innovative diagnostics go.nature.com/2W7sbUT

Why has the United States handled this pandemic so badly? The Editors note that although we came into this crisis with enormous advantages, our current political leaders have demonstrated that they are dangerously incompetent.

As we develop more testing for #COVID19, it’s important to ensure we reach underserved and vulnerable populations. @NIH’s #RADx-UP aims to do just that by investing $234M to improve testing in groups disproportionately affected by COVID-19. bit.ly/2GiPd2O
